Can we talk for a moment about laws that are held in regards to body sovereignty? Did you know there are NO laws governing what a man can do with their body but there is for women? Let's unpack this insanity in this week's episode. This isn't a political discussion - its a legal one. Regardless of your political leanings this is a thought provoking episode you won't want to miss (especially in an election year.) https://lnkd.in/esQqtEfj

As spirit is to the body what water is to the jar, women must perpetuate the perspective to which they conform. This is a perspective violently manifested and sustained, whose materialization is in physical domination over environment and other perspectives. A perspective locally hegemonic and legitimized institutionally as law. It is the role of men, through collaboration, to negotiate amongst themselves and establish said perspective. Dear network, if you are keen to complete this survey, here is the link.
Hundreds of people have already contributed to our 2024 survey to help us to monitor progress of the Equal Representation for Expert Witnesses (ERE) Pledge and find ways to increase the visibility of female experts and aspiring experts. If you haven't already please take 5 minutes (or less!) to share your views - they are very important to us: https://lnkd.in/gCXnxSsh. The survey will remain open until 14 May and we will publish a report of the findings in due course. Thank you for your support.

Consider attending this *free* virtual panel on Wed June 12. The Supreme Court is making rulings wrt women's autonomy under the guise of "originalism"—meaning: interpreting the constitution "the way the founders intended." But what does that mean when you're basing current rulings on decisions that were drafted in eras when women had no rights? This panel, featuring experts from UC Berkeley Law, the National Women's Law Center, and the Brennan Center, will unpack what the Supreme Court is doing and how it undermines women under the guise of following this country's original intentions. https://lnkd.in/gZDn5Jna
