It's less than two weeks until we unveil our latest exhibition, New Homes in New Ways: Collaboration and Innovation through Modern Methods of Construction. In the coming weeks, we will launch our exciting calendar of weekly webinars with industry professionals. The exhibition takes inspiration from the recently released playbook by our event co-curators, Housing Festival , Social Rent Housing at Pace Playbook. The playbook demonstrates the opportunity for the public sector to incubate a new supply chain of factory-manufactured housing, while unlocking ‘unlikely’ land and rethinking the economics. It is a response to our broken housing system and severe shortfall of safe and secure social rent homes. The exhibition will include case studies and a showcase of the latest in new housing technology and discuss the environmental, social and financial benefits of providing homes built through MMC. Amidst calls for, and promises of, genuinely affordable new homes - this exhibition will shine a light on our growing Temporary Accommodation crisis and demonstrate how new high-quality, low-carbon homes can be delivered at scale and pace. Equitable access to green spaces is pivotal.
Inclusion is a vitally important aspect of urban greening. But research suggests that inclusion can be an after-thought in many urban greening engagement activities. We have produced this infographic to help park mangers, planners, landscape architects, engineers and other professionals involved in urban greening to consider how people from diverse backgrounds can be enabled to help make cities greener, healthier, more sustainable, more biodiverse, and more inclusive. Feel free to share.

Is eradicating modern slavery from the materials supply chain really part of the sustainability movement? I'm not sure, but it is an important issue for anyone involved in planning, designing, and constructing buildings to be aware of. Glad to see it on the U.S. government's radar! #socialjustice #equityindesign #buildingmaterials #sustainabledesign
