January is National Mentoring Month! It's also the month I kick off my fourth cohort with the Chicago Innovation Women's Mentoring Co-op. I can't say enough about this incredible community of women and all we accomplish when we come together to learn, grow, and support one another. Mentorship of folks from historically excluded groups supports achieving the career outcomes they're aiming for, increases diversity and inclusion within organizations and industries, and builds stronger, more empathetic, and more diverse networks. These community connections become even more essential when formal structures to support diversity and equity are eroded. Beyond that, mentorship can have a material impact on an individual's access to opportunity and information - which in turn has a material impact on their access to money and power. In any month, but particularly in this one, these are efforts worth our time and energy. #Mentorship #DEIB #CareerDevelopment

To live fully, break generational patterns, and show up for what matters most.
