Day 4: Beyond Corporate Labels and Status Quos! 👔 I've always been intrigued with observing how people lead, what qualities they possess, and how they influence those around them. Often, I've observed that people tend to equate a leadership solely with the executives. However, I believe, #leadership isn't something you automatically acquire with a corner office or a hefty paycheck. There's no guarantee that it magically appears once you reach a certain level in the hierarchy! Studying specific subjects in this area and doing my passionate side research on the topic, I came across a great #TED Talk by Simon Sinek - Why Good Leaders Make You Feel Safe [shared below] 👇 Sinek quotes, "Leadership is a choice, it’s not a rank. I know many people at the senior most levels of organisations who are absolutely not leaders. They are authorities, and we do what they say because they have authority over us, but we would not follow them. And I know many people, who are at the bottoms of organisations, who have no authority, but are absolute leaders, and this is because they’ve chosen to look after the person to the left of them, and to the right of them" ........... and I think that holds so much #power! ⚡ As Sinek mentions, that as a leader, you hold the power to protect, encourage, and challenge. This resonated deeply because these qualities aren't just professional attributes; they're profoundly human elements that shape how we interact and grow together! In my view, leadership goes beyond any seniority, position, or titles. As Kevin Kruse aptly puts it, "It is rather a process of social influence, which maximizes the efforts of others, towards the achievement of a goal". And from where I stand, it's a skillset open to anyone willing to embrace it, regardless of their background or title! 🌱 Watch Simon Sinek's TED Talk | Why Good Leaders Make You Feel Safe https://lnkd.in/gRUXZ9hn #growth

I recently watched Simon Sinek’s TED Talk on “Why Good Leaders Make You Feel Safe”, his talks are usually an inspiration to me when I'm feeling let down by people. He talks about how great leaders create environments where people feel secure enough to take risks and make mistakes, which ultimately leads to innovation and growth. It’s not about titles or authority, it’s about trust and the feeling that you’re supported, no matter what. Mistakes and failures aren’t steps back—they’re often the stepping stones that lead us forward. Creating a culture where people feel safe to stumble is what enables real innovation and growth. If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend watching: #TEDTalks #LeadershipLessons
