Why should the feminization of wealth matter to you? Because women are more likely to invest with impact, meaning their money helps improve our communities and the planet. Because when women have more money, they make more political donations to politicians who represent all of us. Because when women have more money, they’re more likely to hire other women, mentor other women, and invest in other women. CEO Sallie Krawcheck talked to Maggie McGrath at the 2024 Forbes 30/50 Summit about the real implications of the Great Wealth Transfer, Ellevest’s $2 billion milestone, and more:

Rethink Impact just raised $250 million to back female founders—because empowering women isn’t a trend, it’s a movement that’s shaping the future. "But this moment makes clear that investing in women and impact is good business, good for the economy, and certainly here to stay," says Jenny Abramson, Founder & Managing Partner of Rethink Impact. Women like Abramson and Heidi Patel are proving that when women take control of their finances and invest with intention, they uplift others in the process. From healthcare to education to mental health, women’s investments are making waves and driving real-world change. When women take control, we elevate entire communities and create lasting impact. And it starts with every choice we make—whether it’s our daily purchases or our investments. Change starts with us. Empowering Women in Business through The Empower Women Fund. In a world where women are breaking barriers and shattering glass ceilings, there's a powerful force driving change: The Empower Women Fund. We're investing in the future by supporting the continued growth of women-led businesses and empowering the next generation of female entrepreneurs. Our mission is simple yet revolutionary: To make it possible for every woman, regardless of her age, income, or zip code, to become an investor in other women. While California offers a pro-business climate, many women-owned businesses still face challenges in securing funding for growth and expansion. That's where we come in. Through grants and continued education, the Empower Women Fund provides female founders nationwide with the support and financial advocacy they need to thrive. Our fund is fueled by the community, our members, and our core values: "Invest In Her" and "For Us, By Us." We believe in the power of women supporting women. That's why we encourage every woman to invest in the growth and success of female entrepreneurs, no matter how big or small the contribution. Together, we're creating a network of support that spans across the nation, empowering current and aspiring female business leaders. women.longlifefriends.com longlifefriends.org @longlifefriendscharity @longlifefriendshumantechai

Founder of Unstitution * building bridges + bridging divides * catalyzing community * mission critical regenerative pathways * emergent + strategic * collectively creating alternatives aligned with purpose
Something to celebrate! Wholehearted congratulations to Gillian Marcelle, PhD + the many women being recognized by #ForbesOver50. I don’t usually share these kinds of announcements, spotlighting accomplishment milestones. Mostly ‘cause that’s not my focus on LinkedIn. This feels different - potentially the sign of something "good," building + blossoming from some of the “edges.” I say “potentially”…'cause we all know [don’t we?] that there's a need for much more substantive movement within the mainstream, beyond performative optics of periodically doing what “looks right.” As we face the greatest challenges of our times, now is the time for us ALL to break with dysfunctional patterns that constrict individual AND collective creative capacities. A wide diversity + many “forms of leadership” + "investment" will foster more healthy balance + economic wellbeing across all domains of society. This shouldn’t be a “battle” that routinely traps people or feeds a domination-oppression paradigm. And yet battle lines are still drawn daily, some blatant...some invisible. So yes…I celebrate the recognition of these women’s achievements. I appreciate the hard work + sacrifices many have made along the way, working in a world that makes their/our "work" harder than it should be. We need a "reasonably" healthy balanced flow of “the feminine” and “the masculine” in us all, as well as valuing diversity of ALL kinds. …”imbalance manifests in so many ways that have become normalized, compounding problems + creating double binds. Stereotyping, dysfunctional competition, males discouraged from developing + expressing their “softer” intuitive sides, females encouraged to be tough/strong or (penalized when they are) + more… "Damned-if-we-do-damned-if-we-don’t" contextual dilemmas continue to set people up to behave in ways that are a disservice all around — perpetuating polarization, divisiveness, colonizing patterns + imbalance of power + influence. What the world needs to address the challenges we face is a much wider spectrum from which to draw. We need our whole brains/selves valued, fully engaged...on-the-job — which includes all kinds of “work” and “ways of being” that contribute to interdependent wellbeing of families, communities, organizations, societies and a living planet." This is indeed a time to shine + feel joyful, Gillian! Thanks Forbes + others ready to move the needle! Now's the time to invite + celebrate “gifts differing,” many ways of being, “knowing” + humbly “living into” some of the “unknowingness” + uncertainty we all face. Now's a time for bridge building, deep collaboration, listening + (un)learning together how to harvest the best of our combined + differentiated abilities + qualities. Let’s do what we can to leverage this moment for the common[s] good, in ways that extend beyond the moments that have been too fleeting for too long. 👁 link to article👇🏼 building on reflections.🙏 #messyhumanness #wisdomwithteeth

CEO, Braid Theory; Managing Partner, Innofuse Blue; strategic, market-focused leader in the Blue Economy. Los Angeles | Barcelona | Lisbon
Today, on International Women's Day, I have a call to action to go beyond this one-day celebration. If you are creating a 'Women in ____' accelerator program, but only support a tiny percentage of women-led companies in your core programs… If you are celebrating your 'Director of ____' today, but have no women as part of your C-suite or on your board… If you produce a conference with a special 'Women in ____' panel, but all your plenary sessions are dominated by men… If your 'women-entrepreneur' seed fund is miniscule compared to your overall investment… If you write articles with titles like 'Amazing Female Leaders in ____' but fail to recognize same when you write about the industry… If you recognize the incredible accomplishments of women in every field, every industry... Thank you. But take the next step. If your programs, teams, boards, conferences, funding, and articles don’t reflect the fact that we make up half of the population, you have the power to change that. At Braid Theory we walk the talk. #internationalwomensday #internationalwomeneveryday

Helping tech teams improve work-related ill health | Applying a clinically led & data-informed approach so organisations can make a measurable impact on people, performance and profits | Innovator of the Year | Wellbeing
Together we are stronger 💪🏻 Shortly after a public outcry from the female founder community and with mounting pressure, Innovate UK has made a U-turn and agreed to fund 50 Women in Innovation as originally planned. Although this is an initial big win, there is still so much work to be done to ensure that female founders are supported in a fair and equitable way. It's amazing what can be achieved when brilliant minds come together and fight for what's right. But this is just the beginning, after all, we're only on day 5 😂 I know a few women were advised to keep quiet and not 'rock the boat' with Innovate UK. As an NHS Whistleblower, I know how much courage it takes to speak up when things are unjust and don't sit right. So kudos to them for speaking out, speaking up, and doing the right thing so that change can happen. I don't mind playing the game, and it should be fun along the way. But when you're not told the rules or the rules change because you're a woman, that's just ridiculous in 2024! So a big thanks to Emma Jarvis for lighting the spark and to Becky Lodge, Zandra Moore and Tara Attfield-Tomes for bringing the fire 🔥 With stats predicting there is around £250 BILLION being left on the table from underfunded women, let's see what else can be done as a collective to create a more inclusive and effective funding landscape for female founders! #LetsFundMoreWomen #WomenInInnovation #FemaleFounders #InvestinWomen
