Most folks have it backward when it comes to #hiring in #sales. They get excited when they find the obviously required skills to sell, and they hire the first candidate they encounter with all (or some) of the obvious skills. The trick to hiring elite salespeople is recognizing that the obvious is the bare necessities that all candidates should have. Then you have to use the interview process to find the non-obvious skills that separate the elite from the rest.
