Lunch on us! Yesterday Employees enjoyed a cookout and lunch thanks to the Employee Engagement Committee. Jason and Alan were our cooks for the day. Just one of the many ways we are caring not only for our community but employees as well.

After spending over three years delving into employee engagement, I've realized that while occasional parties and contests are enjoyable, the real essence lies in fostering respect, harmony, and peace of mind. It's not imperative for all teams to be best friends; it's about understanding each other's strengths, respecting boundaries, and allowing space, Space to be creative Space to rant about the work, Space to feel the emotion for the work, Space to chill a little bit during work hours! The foundation of engagement begins with inculcating harmony at work, supported by strong leadership that encourages subordinates to make mistakes and grow from them. Do share your thoughts 💭 💫

If you ask an employee for feedback about their workplace or engagement and then do nothing about it, resentment quickly rises. Nothing builds positive momentum for an engagement initiative more than asking for feedback, doing something about it, and then sharing and celebrating positive results. Here are some steps you can take in response to a survey: 1. Build grassroots accountability. 2. Have effective action planning sessions. 3. Assign action item leaders. Agree 100%. Employee engagement deserves dedicated time and effort with well thought out strategies to implement and measure over time. These should align with the overall people agenda and taken seriously. Don't underestimate the value of a great Employee Engagement strategy. Ensure that your strategy is holistic and speaks to Benefits, Culture, Wellness, Skills, CSI, Leadership, Retention & Attraction. Often poor Employee Engagement stems from great ideas but bad execution. You can do better👌

Your Best Friend @ Work! Talks about: Creating great places to work that impact humanity through improved leadership.
😖 Pet peeve - when a company decides to NOT ❗ do an engagement survey because they are afraid of the results. 😒 If you don't ask what they are thinking...you are just making assumptions and guessing at a strategy. ❗ ❗ ❗ Aaaaaannnnnndddd, it's probably an ineffective strategy. Yes, you might be lucky - but the chance could be costly. 💰 #employeeengagement #voicesmatter #leadership #Gallup
