Did you have a #GivingTuesday goal? What did you do? My approach? Impact. Tell me a story. Why do you matter? The comms team at my new job (2 months yesterday and I still quietly squeal with excitement each day!) asked me what social media post I wanted for #GivingTuesday. "Impact. Impact only. NO GIVING LINK. NO hashtags!" I definitely had mixed feelings about this. #BlackFriday apparently has a huge following (never a thing for me), and I'm thrilled #SmallBusinessSaturday has snowballed recently. I see both sides of the coin, but I just don't want to be lumped into consumerism, event the good kind that supports local families and local business. As much as we work tirelessly and tiredly to build a "culture of philanthropy" or more aptly-named "a celebration of generosity," I get the sense that #GivingTuesday has already missed its chance to become a trend. I'm not sure whether to attribute it to timing (too closely attached to consumerism after all the dollars have been spent - maybe hold it on the Tuesday before Halloween?) or that there's already online campaign fatigue with a myriad of online crowdfunding giving days. I spent my time creating finely-tuned personal messaging (and building SQL queries) for our end of year campaign instead of trying to come up with messaging for Giving Tuesday. My public library has been around since 1889 (ironically the first in the country to have a website) and it only started fundraising ten years ago. I don't want our patrons/donors to become jaded and feel like they're in yet another nameless fundraising cycle. (Many of our patrons/donors are alumni of a university with a large, finely-tuned, expert advancement team! I admit I tuned out those messages, even though I knew the senders personally.) What do you think about #GivingTuesday? Here's what my library did: https://lnkd.in/gKV4nJ6Q

People often say it's challenging to get parents to participate and show up at school events. The solution is simple: create enjoyable and engaging environments at school, and the parents will be more likely to attend and offer support. Today, we served 55 dozen donuts, and multiple cups of orange juice, and played some soothing music to create a comfortable environment for parents to have breakfast with their kids. Keys to Get Parents Involved: 1. Establish a strong PTA. 2. Create events that cater to the entire family. 3. Engage and talk with the parents and kids during the event. 4. Communicate, Communicate, Communicate. (Before the event) 5. Provide world-class service during the event. 6. Thank them for showing up.

I support business owners and professionals in protecting their ability to produce income through vital Professionals Benefits planning and managing these benefits using our Three "E's" Process.
Imagine this: you've lived a long, full life, but now you're nearing the end, sick in hospice. You think about the things you've achieved (and never got to cross off your bucket list). How would you feel if you could just cross those last things off your bucket list? If you have family in hospice, this episode is a must listen. Hear from Caitlin how you can grant them the wish of a lifetime.

For Local Authorities, it may be worth sharing that Dignity Access has noticed some clients are buying WashPods from an innovative source – the Discharge Fund Grant. The Discharge Fund Grant was launched as part of the September 2022 Plan for Patients. For the current financial year, the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities has allocated £500m to the Fund, “to support local authorities to build additional adult social care and community-based reablement capacity to reduce hospital discharge delays through delivering sustainable improvements to services for individuals”. The funding is given to any local authority with responsibility for social care and 153 are listed, all of which could be benefitting from using interim home bathing solutions (like WashPod) that can be rapidly installed without adaptations to help them achieve Discharge to Assess and beyond. Early preparation by Local Authorities, particularly ahead of the winter surge, with WashPod stock off-the-shelf, will allow even faster turnarounds for service users. Dignity Access manages the continual WashPod re-installations as they are recyclable (and therefore sustainable) to ensure our clients enjoy easy, stream-lined process management. Please view our video if you think this might be for you. #hospitaldischarge #dischargetoassess #reablement #dischargefundgrant #careathome #disabledwetroom #disabledshower #wintersurge https://lnkd.in/eqUSw3BM

Custom Kids Conference is LIVE!! The date is set, the venue booked, and REGISTRATION IS OPEN! Why another conference? Every time I teach a breakout I start by saying, "I know it feels like you're drinking from a fire hydrant. I know you have a million ideas, BUT you can't implement them all at once. You have to prioritize and plan....but where to start? Select two initiatives, the most important ones, and start there." BUT WHAT IF A CONFERENCE WAS DESIGNED WITH YOUR SPECIFIC NEEDS IN MIND. What if you didn't have to pick two items and put the others off until a rainy day? What if you could strategically take ten steps forward in the areas that would multiply your impact? What if your conference path was designed specifically for you? What if connections with other ministry leaders were made with your season in mind? What if you were made to feel like a VIP from the moment you walked in the door? Would that interest you? I want to invite you and your team to join me at CUSTOM KIDS CONFERENCE. This is a truly unique experience and will only be open to 100 registrants. Mark your calendars and REGISTER TODAY! https://lnkd.in/eQce4fqe
