Working With Distributors, Manufacturers & Retailers By Focusing On Softwood Lumber And Its Interactions With The Lumber Market
Although demand and activity were much quieter last Friday, the overall week was on par with the previous weeks of the month. Steady and consistent were terms commonly used to describe the day-to-day demand. More than enough supply though has been the major concern, weighing heavily on prices and influencing buying. The ongoing retreat of them has enabled hesitation and doubt. Clients were more interested in keeping inventories low and manageable, feeling that what is needed can deliver to them in a timely manner. #lumber #spf #constructionsupplies #buildingmaterials #wholesale #trading #sherwoodlumber

Working With Distributors, Manufacturers & Retailers By Focusing On Softwood Lumber And Its Interactions With The Lumber Market
Demand and activity picked up in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. There was a growing sense that supply is tightening and that there is likely to be less than more over the next several weeks leading into August. There was more interest to have product coming besides just filling in the day-to-day. Make no mistake it was difficult trading yesterday as competition was very aggressive and traders were highly motivated to getting orders. Prices varied on many quotes with clients taking advantage whenever and where they could. #lumber #spf #constructionsupplies #buildingmaterials #wholesale #trading #sherwoodlumber

Business Manager at AWM Electrical | Passionate about Innovative Electrical Solutions and Exceptional Customer Service
Lately, I’ve seen more and more contractors bashing wholesalers online and mentioning turning to digital platforms for sourcing materials. While the convenience of online shopping is undeniable, it’s important to remember: not all wholesalers are the same. At AWM West Melbourne we strive to be more than just a supplier. Here’s how we stand apart: If you accidentally order a dimmer with non-dimmable downlights, a website won’t catch that. We do, saving you from costly mistakes on-site. When a part has been discontinued for years, a website won’t go out of its way to find an alternative. We will hunt to the ends of the earth to find the latest version or the closest alternative. If you have a random OEM part you need to source, a website won’t contact the manufacturer, get the specs, and find out where it’s made. But we’ve done that—sourcing custom-made parts from overseas to help our customers get the job done. And when something goes wrong over the weekend, no online store is going to open its doors to help. But we’ve always done our best to support our customers when they need us, even after hours. Unlike some platforms, we don’t advertise trade prices to the general public, keeping your competitive edge intact. I’ve seen firsthand the value of working with a wholesaler that genuinely cares about its customers' success. When our customers thrive, so do we. Would you rather spend time scrolling through a website—or focus on getting the job done on-site? At AWM West Melbourne, it’s about more than just supplying materials. It’s about the service and expertise to help you succeed. #ElectricalIndustry #CustomerService #AWMWestMelbourne #TradesSupport #ProblemSolvers #BuildingRelationships #NotAllWholesalers

Working With Distributors, Manufacturers & Retailers By Focusing On Softwood Lumber And Its Interactions With The Lumber Market
Although demand and activity remained vibrant in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday, the number of orders transacted eased considerably. There was substantial inquiry that kept traders busy but little that was acted upon in comparison by clients. Whether it was price, fewer product options and availability or simply a lack of confidence to do so, it was unclear as to why there was less buying than expected. Maybe it all suggests that the market was setting itself up for something much different to happen. #lumber #spf #constructionsupplies #buildingmaterials #wholesale #trading #sherwoodlumber

Working With Distributors, Manufacturers & Retailers By Focusing On Softwood Lumber And Its Interactions With The Lumber Market
Demand and activity eased in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday as many prepared for a highly anticipated long holiday weekend. Traders struggled to sell the things they had or looking for the items they needed. The mills also had less to offer but found difficulty in selling the products they did have. There was business transacted but it was at a slower pace than seen recently. Activity leaned heavily on verifying shipments, revising tallies or searching for the few clients still in the market to buy. #lumber #spf #constructionsupplies #buildingmaterials #wholesale #trading #sherwoodlumber

Working With Distributors, Manufacturers & Retailers By Focusing On Softwood Lumber And Its Interactions With The Lumber Market
It was another busy day for the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Activity was brisk but it seemed more of a struggle for traders in putting orders together. The pressure to lower prices to compete weighed heavily on mindsets. Some inquiry was repetitive as clients were not content with the options presented. Maybe there were thoughts that cheaper prices would crop up. Regardless, if you stuck with a strategy of promoting what you had and believing what you know, successes and orders followed. #lumber #spf #constructionsupplies #buildingmaterials #wholesale #trading #sherwoodlumber

Working With Distributors, Manufacturers & Retailers By Focusing On Softwood Lumber And Its Interactions With The Lumber Market
There was steady demand from various sources to start the week in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Price disparities among the mills kept distributors, wholesalers, and clients very active searching for material to cover specific needs and then some. Back-to-back orders, inventory fill in, and speculative purchases were the basis of the strong activity seen. Higher export duties on Canadian Lumber that went into effect Monday had their impact, creating some sharp contrasts on mill quotes. #lumber #spf #constructionsupplies #buildingmaterials #wholesale #trading #sherwoodlumber
