Did you know that #Texas #Solar (just utility-scale) produced more electricity than Texas #Coal for the first time in March? Texas is implementing solar even faster than California. Check out companies hiring lots of #solar #jobs in Texas right now https://lnkd.in/eeJ-CxAE

Do we really need to diversify our income sources? 🤔 I was speaking to someone who worked in a large engineering firm🏢 And he didn’t really feel the need to diversify🤷♂️ But then the company he was working at was diversified in power generation, manufacturing, solar, renewables, etc. 📊 So if these giant firm feel the need to diversify their income🚀💲 What about us? 😳 #sidehustle #extraincome #financialfreedom #diversify #income

PROBLEMS IN SOLAR 3. BAD/SUB-STARDARD PRODUCTS No matter how good an Engineer is and no matter how careful the End-user of a Solar System is, a bad Product is a bad Product. Some Products are SUB-STARDARD, the rating written on them are false. Some Panels have 550 Watt written on them but they are not up to that rate. Some Engineers complained bitterly of how their Integrity and qualifications were questioned by Clients because of SUB-STARDARD Products. This could be a Manufacturer's fault or Importers fault. I think we can do better. #solar #renewableenergy #alternativepowersupply.

You have to love the irony. #Texas, the state synonymous with Big Oil, now has more utility-scale #solar than any other US state. California was the long time leader, but Texas has seen a surge in solar in the last few years, and it's been driven by economics, not policy. The cost of building and operating solar farms has plummeted Texas was already the leader in wind. Low carbon sources now generate more than 40% of the electricity in the state. Storage is coming too. A boom in #batteries means Texas is expected to have more than 10 GW installed by the end of this year. The #oilandgas folks must be so unhappy about this 😂 #energy #renewables #sustainability #energytransition

What's if I need more electricity then the solar is providing me? What's if my solar produces more than I actually use? Here's how solar works. This email is from the local electric company in Arizona, sending to one of it's customers that has solar installed. "The swift growth of battery storage as a source of power for the electric grid, along with the continued expansion of large-scale solar farms, could not have come at a better time. Texas, like many other states, is facing a surge in its power needs from data centers, new manufacturing plants ... and increasingly intense summer heat. Officials estimate that Texas, already the nation’s largest electricity consumer, could roughly double its demand in just a few years." Solar and wind farms across the country use our buildings for substations, collector houses, monitoring stations, meter houses, battery storage unites, and control rooms. We're helping to ensure power generation for decades to come. https://heyor.ca/HXHNBE #buildings #controlbuildings #energy #gridsecurity #integration #modularbuildings #powertransmission #renewables #solar #solarenergy #substations #windenergy

Hypothesis: LEADING utility companies and regulators deliver high grid reliability at a low cost AND has a high percentage of renewable energy generation. I would like to see the real data on a bubble chart as below. Data for countries or specific electricity jurisdictions. What might we learn? Who ranks high on grid reliability and % renewables? Denmark? Norway? France? South Dakota? Germany? Costa Rica? Kenya? New Zealand? Where can I find such data? CleanTechnica

A record-setting 11 gigawatts of new solar module manufacturing capacity came online in the United States during Q1 2024. According to the Solar Energy Industries Association, this is the largest quarter of solar manufacturing growth in American history. But which states are leading this growth? ⬇️⬇️⬇️ You can find a link to the article in the comments below. ++++++ #SolarPanels #Manufacturing #UnitedStates If you found this helpful, please consider sharing it with your connections and following us for similar updates. 👍🏽 pvbuzz|media

According to ERCOT, Texas just broke a record for how much power it got from the sun a week ago: 36.11%. At that time, about 15,222 megawatts of solar ran over Texas transmission lines to homes and businesses. According to ERCOT, one megawatt can power 200 homes in times of peak energy use. Later that day, Texas broke a record for the share of electricity on the grid that comes from the sun: 36.11%. Joshua Rhodes, an energy researcher at UT Austin, said he thinks the state will be breaking more records in the near future “as we install more [solar facilities] and the sun’s higher in the sky during the summer.” Rhodes said the new record is the result of recent years of meteoric growth in solar installations in Texas, which recently surpassed California as the state that produces the most energy from solar power. #solar #electricity #cleanpower #ercot #recordbreaking
