Behind the Barricade - Fenton Edition Hello Raleigh Durham! Lots to update - it’s been too long. Doc B's Restaurant + Bar underground plumbing and electrical, floor slab, rough framing, grease exhaust duct are complete. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-in are on going. For restaurants in particular this requires a lot of work, a ton of coordination in the field and always takes longer than you expect as request for information (RFIs) all need to be done correctly to fit everything in. Exterior pergola and seating areas are off to the races and the pergola framing comes next. Vega Vitality MedSpa & Wellness has also started in earnest having completed underground mechanicals, poured floor slab, rough framing and hung their mechanical units. Storefront canopy steel is right around the corner. Crawford Brothers also has finished all underground and rough-ins and has moved on to exterior staining of the existing masonry facade. This is a unique process that differs from painting in that it actually penetrates the material and allows it to continue to “breathe” rather than putting a coating on the top potentially trapping moisture.
