None of us have crystal balls and there are no guarantees that the person will be the perfect fit...however...as the hiring manager, you must trust yourself and you must be trusted! Top candidates may not stick around for an outrageous amount of interviews and will likely lose trust and respect for the company. I love this! In this economy, I’ve been saying if it takes two interviews or more after the 1st interview each additional Interviews should come with Gas cards😅😂🤓 Employers/Recruiters forget most candidates are unemployed and it takes time and money to get to these “Interviews” and prepare for them to only be “ghosted” and typically not because you’re not qualified “Good Enough” but because they can’t afford you. If they hired the “right Property/Community/Leasing Manager” it’s no need in a 2nd Interview, why hire someone, and then do not trust their judgement of a person they have to work with directly daily. I’ve said on this journey to find the right job the person that I’ll barely see and basically don’t have time to interview me, will be the main one to kill the good energy and vibes that’s been established and everything goes cold or you lose interest because you feel like you’re just a number on their list or waiting for a time slot to ultimately not have their undivided attention. If you’re naturally not optimistic this process can take you to a dark place, *Please don’t let it* I just hope the good people that know their worth won’t settle and become a “Pick Me” person in industries that “need” strong “experienced” people to get the job done and pay them accordingly to their experience! Time is money, and 100% of the time you get exactly what you’re paying for. Thank you for this post you are always spot on!
