Join WorkBC Maple Ridge & School District 42 for an online information session regarding their new and innovative Relief Teacher Hiring Initiative this Wednesday, August 14th from 11am until 12pm! Relief teachers are individuals hired to temporarily fill in for absent teachers. Relief teachers will only be deployed in situations where the school district has exhausted the list of all available certified teachers teaching on call. While relief teachers may not have full certification, they will undergo dedicated training and receive support to ensure they can effectively manage classrooms and support the delivery of education. Event registration can be found here: https://lnkd.in/gp9F3UrZ

Library land folks - I highly recommend exploring this topic. Adults are the biggest population in any community and the biggest proportion of library users. But adult services are typically an overlooked area in iSchools and in staff training. In this course, we'll provide explicit instruction on how to assess, serve, and understand the adult community. https://lnkd.in/eCU6smqD
