A modern Office of the CLO (OCLO) is a strategic business imperative.
Organizational learning is a key factor in sustainable competitive advantage. Business is characterized by constant change and the ability to learn, adapt, and evolve. The CLO plays a central role in fostering this capability by embedding a culture of continuous learning, ensuring a workforce that is not only skilled but also agile, innovative, and prepared for future challenges. While leveraging modern technology and analytics.
We are observing company People agendas increase in importance. In parallel, the centrality of learning, development, and continuous growth is expanding in relation to other people initiatives. An emphasis on skills-based organizations, employability-based employment value propositions, Montessori-like team-based working arrangements, internal talent mobility, and other initiatives speak to the heightened importance of evolving outdated training departments into modern, strategic OCLOs.
This evolution starts with recognizing that becoming a learning organization is not an HR or learning function responsibility. It is an intentional commitment for the full leadership team and organization.
We will be sharing more with a growing community of leaders, professionals, and stakeholders who are invested in transforming the learning function, the talent philosophy, and the learning cultures at their organizations to facilitate a more sustainable and human-centered future of work.
Please stay tuned!
