US Department of Labor issues guidance to states, territories to designate American Job Centers as voter registration agencies. WIOA Programs can Help Participants Register to Vote: As we approach the 2024 election, NYEC wants to remind its members that the Department of Labor (DOL) issued guidance in 2022 sharing that programs receiving WIOA funds may engage in voter registration activities. Specifically, DOL stated that the following partners of American Job Centers may engage in such activities: WIOA Title I Youth, YouthBuild, Indian and Native American, National Farmworker, and Reentry Employment Opportunities programs and Job Corps operators. Hunting for people to fill positions across a majority of the sectors to keep the lights on in the UK is becoming a defining feature of our time. From recruiting for seasonal agriculrure workers to ensure we have food on our tables, skilled construction hands to build our depleted stock of homes, health workers to prop up the hospitals & care homes, and now overseas teachers to educate our youth whom we will need to lead our country into the future. It is critical that we, as individuals and communities, need to take personal responsibilities seriously. We need to engage in conversations to redefine how we address these challenges together. Leaving government and "others" to resolve these challenges is not the way.

OINP published a new update for the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream Effective July 1, 2024, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program's Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream has been updated by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD). The eligibility list now includes additional occupations for positions outside the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), such as shippers and receivers, railway yard maintenance workers, and aquaculture labourers. One occupation, "other trades helpers and labourers," has been added for roles both inside and outside the GTA. These changes, influenced by fall 2023 consultations, aim to address feedback and do not impact existing applications.

The “moments” stupidity became the norm: 1. A large KKK member becomes president of the United States and begins to tell the American people bad things about Jews and Mexicans. (Jews and Mexicans are still running large businesses) 2. The free leader of our world is mixed with West Indian, White and Jamaican. 3. Human trafficking was covered up with legal adoption and foster care. 4. School education outranked experience. 5. Applying for a job became a course at the University. You have to be educated in how to apply for a job. (You need a degree in résumé writing)
