How to Get Your Career Back on Track in 2024 In this week's posts I'm gong to focus on providing some tips and strategies for career professionals. I'll begin with some ideas on how you can get your career back on track in 2024. If you have a sense that your career is not where it should be, or if you feel that you haven't achieved what you set out to achieve in your career in the previous few years, here are some ways to get things back on track. 1. Re-assess your career vision and goals. Are you still getting out of your current career what you wanted? Does it still align with your personal and professional vision? 2. If one of your goals is to get a promotion to a higher level position, identify and acquire the most important and most relevant skills, knowledge and experience associated with that position. 3. Create a clear career development plan, that sets out your vision, goals and direction for how to achieve them. 4. Assess your work environment, and determine if it is conducive to helping you achieve your career goals. What impact did your work environment have on your productivity and efficiency in 2023? Do you need to make changes? 5. Identify and work on any mindset blocks, e.g. imposter syndrome, lack of confidence, lack of assertiveness, etc. that may be holding you back from achieving the next level. This is the perfect time of the year for you to set clear intentions for what you want to achieve this year in your career growth and development. Hopefully the strategies above will be useful.
