“The Hanger Boutique manager, Nancy Luxon, may not wear a cape, but to me, she’s a superhero. My firstborn was about to graduate college. I had the hotel booked. Restaurant reservations confirmed. Established the out-of-office protocols. But what about the family photo ops? I desperately needed a fresh outfit or two that could accommodate the crazy temperatures up in Davis, CA. But there were a few hurdles: 1. I greatly dislike shopping. 2. Didn’t want to overspend on things that wouldn’t be worn again as I was mid-fitness-regime. 3. ‘Disposable,’ cheap clothing that ends up in a landfill is not an option. Gimme quality that I can either keep for years or donate when I'm done. There’s a reason why I’m neither an actress nor a poker player. I felt awful when Nancy saw the look on my face after she presented a few ensembles. They were soooooo not anything I’d ever pick out but I promised to try them on anyway. Lo and behold, they were beyond perfect. She styled high-end, well-constructed brands into outfits for the upcoming festivities - as well as a few fabulous extras. I left the store with two complete outfits and a number of separates. The packing list was complete, didn’t break the bank, AND, equally as important, contributed to a most worthy cause.” Socially responsible, The Hanger proceeds directly support Working Wardrobes’ programs while upcycling supports the environment. With most, if not all of your decorations up, now is the perfect time to go through the items you have left and conduct a purge. Here are 3 things you can do to maintain your inventory before the season is over. 🎄 Decide if you will use the ornament or theme again. If not, now is a great time to donate it so someone else can use it in their home. Don’t keep anything you will not use again. 🎄 If you find something has been damaged now is the good time to replace it. Several stores have applied deep discounts to holiday items. 🎄 Sort items you are keeping by theme, style, and color. Label your containers to reflect what is inside. If you need assistance getting organized, unpacking, or preparing for a move, book your FREE consultation today. #holiday #decorations #declutter #purge #donate #organizingpro #homeorganizer #houstonhomeorganizer #professionalorganizerhouston #hireaprofessionalorganizer #blackprofessionalorganizers #womenowned #NABPO #NAPO #NAPOHouston #Texas #harriscounty #montgomerycounty #galvestoncounty #iOrganize #YouMatter2Us #fyp #foryou https://lnkd.in/gJ2Bhic8

Closet Share is a community-focused program dedicated to collecting local clothing donations, washing and sorting them into tiers, and cataloging them on an online store for community members to access. We provide affordable clothing solutions through a tiered system, with Tier 1 offering free clothing for low-income families and organizations, and Tier 2 allowing the broader community to purchase items at low costs. Additionally, our Bags of Rags program repurposes unusable textiles to prevent them from ending up in landfills, contributing to environmental sustainability. We are excited to announce that we have recently acquired a warehouse to expand our operations. Unfortunately, we did not receive the government funding we applied for, and the warehouse requires some renovations to get it functioning for our program. We need various supplies, and if you have any items that you would be interested in donating to Closet Share, we would greatly appreciate it. We are also always looking for volunteers to help with the growth and building of Closet Share's warehouse. Your support can make a significant difference in our community! • Washers (3) • Dryers (3) • Fridge • Coffee Machine • Microwave • Hangers • Commercial Mop Bucket • Garbage Cand and Blue Bins • Paint (Any color) • Outdoor Paint • Painting Supplies (Paint Brushes, Tape, Rollers) • Office Equipment • Shelving • Laundry Consumables • Stationery Supplies • Security System • White Boards • Racking for Hanging Clothes (2x4’s and poles would work) You can reach out to Melissa at 249-878-7513 or info@closetshare.ca if you have any questions or would like to donate any of the above items or even volunteer some time to our great cause. #Volunteers #volunteer #sudbury #sudburyontario #nonprofit #MakeADifference #makeanimpact

Strategic brand identity & website design to create more Upside for your business. Logo Designer | Brand Designer | Web Designer
I gave an identity to our local skatepark community and raised over £20,000+ for a safer streets campaign... For years, Gloucester skatepark had been neglected by the council, left to rot, with the safety concerns around the lack of good lighting in the area being a serious problem with recent stabbings and people feeling unsafe walking by at night. When we first approached the council with our idea to give the skatepark solar lighting, making it safe at night, we heard nothing... - Crickets for weeks. But I had an idea. What if we approached them as a community instead of a bunch of kids from the skatepark? A collective of individuals with the identity of an organisation that encapsulated our love for our skatepark. That community needed a brand identity. I made the logo, chose the typefaces, built the brand guides and we set ourselves up on social media, posting about the benefits of community and getting everyone in our local area on board. For weeks, we'd been a community. It wasn't until we communicated that visually with a strategic approach that the council (and wider Gloucester area) took us seriously. After implementing that brand identity into campaigns and getting people together, that project later raised £20,000 through skate jams and funding from local businesses. Crime rates dropped, the council saw the park in a new light and repainted/ refurbished the park. My friends back home tell me were on our way to getting a pump-track now too. All because of a brand identity communicating authority, community and professionalism in our approach. Invest in brand - change the world around you. #Brand #Identity #Logo #Community #Lighting #NonProfit #Charity #SaferStreets

One room that gets a ton of use during the day is the bathroom. To help keep this space maintained, here are 3 habits you can implement into your evening routine. Remember, a new habit can take anywhere from 20-60 days to form, so don't beat yourself up if you have a misstep. Just try again. 🧺Pick up any items(clothing, towels, shoes) left on the bathroom floor. Add door hooks, hampers, or shoe shelves to create homes. 🧴Put away any products taken out during the day. Try to put them away after each use, but at a minimum, put everything away before bed. 🧽Wipe off your sink and counters. Try to limit the number of items that are kept on your counter to daily used items only. If you need assistance with organization, unpacking, or preparing for a move, book your FREE consultation today. #bathroom #goodhabits #getorganized #declutter #purge #donate #organizingpro #homeorganizer #houstonhomeorganizer #professionalorganizerhouston #hireaprofessionalorganizer #blackprofessionalorganizers #womenowned #NABPO #NAPO #Texas #harriscounty #montgomerycounty #galvestoncounty #iOrganize #YouMatter2Us #fyp #foryou https://lnkd.in/gNMhHxTC

These are the photos I took at the Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center crab feed/fundraiser earlier this month. Most are from one of my Nikon Z8s, though there are few mixed in from my Samsung s23 Ultra smartphone. Sometimes I can get into small spaces with my s23 that I can't with a full-sized camera. The Nikon Z8s are pretty amazing in low light. The 24-120 f4 kit lens is excellent, though I do miss having the extra f stops on the low end. Even at high ISO settings, the photos hold together well. I can easily remove moderate high ISO graininess with Camera RAW filters. One of the great things about shooting with a full frame camera is I have the option to shoot in crop mode when I don't need the massive 47MP full frame images. While the end result is effectively pre-cropping photos, in camera, it's easier to compose shots since everything is zoomed in 50%. So the 24-120 feels like you're shooting with a 36-180 lens. I do the same thing when I'm shooting hockey photos. I don't need huge photos anyway, so I shoot with my 70-200 f2.8 lens in crop mode, which is like shooting with a 105-300, and I get 21MP files. That's plenty of range for shooting close to mid-range sports photos.
Here's a photo gallery from the "Booty for the Build" AYCE Crab Feed & Fundraiser we held earlier this month. We also explain more about our capital improvement project, including our planned building expansion and renovations.

The flower you choose for your event will greatly depend on what type of eventyou’re organizing, your target audience, and your venue. But you might noticethere are particular blooms that are popular all year round and go well with avariety of settings. Some of them may include: Cherry Blossoms, Roses,Orchids, Tulips, Daisies and Lilies, just to name a few. So, find here some basic rules to apply when choosing flowers: 1. Look at what’s in season. It’s usually more affordable and on trendanyways! 2. Buy local. If you have the luxury of easy access to a farm in your area,it might be a good idea to see what options they have. 3. Be charitable. If you do want to work with a professional florist, justknow that some offer donations to related charities if you purchase aparticular bloom during that time period. 4. Remember your audience. Some flowers hold significant cultural symbolismthat you should consider before ordering. Also, if your target market isinto sustainability in their event designs, the floral industry has madegreat strides towards better education and products that follow thoseguidelines.Ready to make your next event bloom? 💌contact@thevibeagency.com#VIBEagency #EventPlanning #EventDesign #EventTips #Decoration
