David, an Army Infantryman from Southern California, faced homelessness shortly after leaving the military. Returning home with hopes of reconnecting with his family, he was met with rejection and had to seek help from the community to stay housed. Despite exhausting resources from various organizations, David was once again on the brink of homelessness. Thankfully, the Volunteers of America stepped in, offering him long-term housing. During this transition, the Working Wardrobes VetNet Program provided David with a 7-day hotel stay, ensuring a smooth move into his new home. #workingwardrobes #orangecounty #southerncalifornia #nonprofitorganization #ocnonprofit #nonprofit

2moI am relieved to see that the community safety net was there for David, but we should NOT be seeing these words in the USA - an Army Infantryman...faced homelessness shortly after leaving the military.
