#coffeetalks! #1st In our recent discussion, my colleague Farid Rzayev, PMP® and I talked about the challenges of career development and the evolving landscape of daily routines and responsibilities. Despite the name "#coffee #talks," Farid, true to his tradition, still prefers tea over coffee. Reflecting on Farid's journey, which spans cultural shifts from Azerbaijan to Russia and England, we recognized the transformative power of education in shaping individuals. Education serves as a cornerstone for personal growth and development, yet Farid also emphasized that success in today's dynamic professional landscape demands more than just degrees and diplomas. It requires a diverse skill set, with a strong emphasis on soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and adaptability. Farid's perspective underscores the notion that while education lays the foundation, it's the cultivation of soft skills and interpersonal relationships that truly propel individuals forward in their careers. Being someone whom colleagues enjoy working with is just as essential as having a solid educational background. It's about striking a balance between academic achievement and personal qualities to thrive in the modern workplace. Additionally, we explored the impact of life changes on our approach to time management. Reflecting on his own journey, he acknowledged the shift in daily routines over the years. During single days, he meticulous tracking of every hour, striving for maximum efficiency. However, marriage and the passage of time have brought new responsibilities and priorities, necessitating a reevaluation of how he allocate his time. Nowadays, the focus lies in finding balance among professional commitments, family responsibilities, and personal goals. Experience and maturity have taught the importance of prioritization, leading to reassessments of time allocation to minimize wastage and optimize productivity in all aspects of life. This journey has highlighted the need for adaptability and flexibility in daily routines, as well as the importance of understanding and respecting the changing demands of life.
