It's been 18 months of hard work; super interesting, and with a wonderful group of people. The most enlightening thing for me was the synergy between Continuous Improvement and Marketing. Both are focused on aligning the business behind the customer and making sure products and services are delivered according to customer needs. In an era of relationship marketing, where relationships are built on trust and reputation we need to break down traditional organisational silos and start pooling resources to drive customer-focused processes based on strong corporate values. So, marketeers, find your corporate CI teams and talk to them. They could be your strongest advocates in delivering customer-focused business change. The Lloyds Banking Group Rising Star of the Year Award (Apprentices that have made impressive progress in their career to date, and have the potential to go even further. Nominations are made by their employer). Full List below APPRENTICE, T LEVEL STUDENT AND SKILLS CHAMPION CATEGORIES The Apprentice of the Year categories are looking to recognise those who are working towards, or have recently completed, their apprenticeship or T Level qualification The Amazon Intermediate Apprentice of the Year Award (Level 2) The BAE Systems Advanced Apprentice of the Year Award (Level 3) The British Army Higher Apprentice of the Year Award (Level 4 or 5) The Royal Navy Degree Level Apprentice of the Year Award (Level 6 or higher) The Lloyds Banking Group Rising Star of the Year Award (Apprentices that have made impressive progress in their career to date, and have the potential to go even further. The Gatsby T Level Student of the Year Award (New for 2024) The Royal Air Force Skills Champion of the Year Award (Individuals who go ‘above and beyond’ to champion apprenticeships, T Levels and other skills programmes. Nominations are made by a colleague or contact who recognises an individual’s ‘champion’ credentials). EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR CATEGORIES The BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT SME Apprenticeship Employer of the Year Award (for organisations with 1 to 249 employees) The QA Large Apprenticeship Employer of the Year Award (for organisations with 250+ employees) The Gatsby T Level Employer of the Year Award (New for 2024) Social Justice Employer of the Year Award (Awarded to an organisation which demonstrates the impact they have had in creating opportunities and support for those who are disadvantaged or under-represented) The IfATE Skills Development Partner of the Year Award (Awarded to individuals who have gone the extra mile to develop, approve, review and revise apprenticeships and T Levels in partnership with The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education).

Are you looking to be inspired to learn? A leadership apprenticeship at Cranfield involves learning from experienced industry experts, is highly practical and enables employees to excel in their job role. Don't take my word from it, read our latest Ofsted report. Ofsted has rated Cranfield's Apprenticeship provision as 'good'. This is a fantastic achievement and doesn't adequately capture the hard work that goes into making this happen. One of my favourite highlights from the report, "Teaching staff are highly experienced in the industries in which they teach. They use their experience to provide apprentices with a sound knowledge of the industries in which they work. As a result, apprentices gain substantial new knowledge and skills that help them to excel in job roles and prepare effectively for promoted posts at work. Apprentices state they are enthused and inspired to learn."
