This article evokes many memories from my C level career. I posit that when leaders can connect to the heart of others, create trust and respect, and learn to give feedback without creating fear, leaders following them will accept tough feedback and respect the leader. I’ve been a flawed leader and a trusted leader. Psychologically safety needs to be defined as an enabler not a detractor. Performance is a result of effective communication between two people.
