Last week I celebrated my 3rd Anniversary with PathFactory. Can't believe it's already been 3 years - 3 years in SaaS, and 3 years in sales. I continue to learn each day from my colleagues, the marketers/GTM leaders I get to speak with, and the GTM thought leaders I follow on LinkedIn. Thought I'd share a bit more about myself here. Going from the corporate world where I started straight out of school and spent 8 years in and moving into tech on a totally different career path during the pandemic - to some of my friends was a bonkers move. No regrets about the decision I made. I'm grateful for the alumni services from the University of Waterloo where I met my career advisor 3 years ago who helped open my eyes to opportunities and paths I never thought about (before this meeting, it was either continue marketing in corporate or get into the field I studied - theatre/film). Nothing in life has to be linear. I realized I perform best when things don't go according to the script - I just roll with it - a skill I learned from doing theatre and improv in school (like ad-libbing an entire scene with my stage partner because they forgot their lines). Landing at PathFactory was one of those situations that happened at the right time, I decided to embark on the path into sales and they had an opening. I applied because I happened to be a user of the solution and loved it, and the rest is history. More on why I loved being a user of PathFactory before joining the company in future posts or if you want to do a 1:1 coffee chat virtually or in person. What drives me in life is curiosity, and this will help as I continue to grow in sales. #b2b #b2bsales #b2bmarketing #careergrowth

May was huge for Unify—we grew ARR +16% ARR. Even more importantly—we took huge strides both individually and as a team through hiring and process strengthening: 1) Skyler's progress as our lead AE has been extremely promising. He closed 57% more ARR in May than in April, and attained 184% of quota. He's ramping up quickly on closed won and we're super thrilled with his growth. 2) We've landed a bunch of key hires. Our newest onboard, Noah Czelusta, just joined our engineering team. In week 1, he fixed Slack notifications, shipped new variables, and more. We have offers out to great AE candidates we're hopeful to welcome to our team—and we're still looking for more. 3) The product is moving really quickly—I believe we're fully hitting escape velocity. It's easy for us now to move fast and consistently put high-quality products into customers' hands. On top of that, we have a strong product feedback cycle. How we deploy, test, and roll out with customers has become a seamless process that leads to great builds. Our general philosophy is to work backward—starting by asking, "What do we want to change about how people use the product today?" and going from there. If you want me to drop a full framework on our product feedback cycles, let me know in the comments Velocity is high right now—hoping to ride the wave into a really strong June. 🌊

Here at Heroify, we're firm believers that skills rule the roost, not backgrounds 🎓. So many gems out there with mad skills don't get the spotlight simply because of where they've been (or haven't!) 😟 That's where we come in, we help organizations spot the hidden talent, not just the shiny resumes. And guess what? Our candidates love it.💖 Cause when skills are on the table, everyone's got a fair shot! 🔥 #skillbasedhiring #hiring

CEO @ Qualabs | Transforming Video Tech with Dedicated software engineering teams. - Passionate about entrepreneurship, leadership and education.
Lesson learned: "to know exactly when it's my turn to kick the ball 🦵⚽" (sorry for the terrible translation from a spanish expression) Today I want so share a lesson learned from Qualabs’ growth and our continuous structural changes and roles definition. Initially, we sought highly flexible roles, promoting collaboration and teamwork, and the sense that "no one wins unless everybody wins". And the truth is, everyone in this picture did an amazing job at that. We operate with Business Units that are accoutable for the value delivery for a set of clients as well as taking care of the engineering teams working for those clients. A BU is composed of a Delivery Manager, a Technical Manager, and a People Operations Manager. They, as a team, are responsible for the BU results. Something we've had to learn (and particularly myself), is the importance of having clarity in individual objectives. While teamwork and collaboration 🧩 are crucial, it’s equally vital for everyone to know their primary responsibility: what is it that I'm specially accountable for. It might sound simple or even obvious, but for us, as we were growing and figuring out what structure our strategy needed, it was a journey. We had to create roles and learn along the way. A significant learning this year has been ensuring that each person knows their role clearly while understanding that we must play as a team to win. No one wins if the team loses. No one wins if good people leave the company. No one wins if clients are unhappy, don’t renew their contracts, or don’t want to grow their relationship with us. So, the team’s success remains crucial, but personal achievements and the agility to own responsibilities are just as important. Business requires we remain lean! That’s why I want to pause today to thank 🙏 and congratulate 👏 this team, our management #team. Most of them have been with us for years, showing adaptability and trust, molding their roles to the evolving needs of Qualabs and their professional development. 🙏🙏🙏 Thank you for your dedication, flexibility, and continuous efforts. Here’s to many more successful quarters together! We are building the future of #videotech together! 💪

Throwback to my experience at ProductDive : Reflecting on a memorable moment from our group project, I recall a time when I found myself falling behind in classes and unaware that my group mates had already convened virtually. With just a few days left until our presentation, I reached out to one of my teammates, only to discover they were in another meeting. Feeling a bit overwhelmed, I joined the call, expecting to play catch-up. To my surprise, everyone was not only prepared but eager to help and ensure I was brought up to speed. It was a moment that truly redefined teamwork for me. From this experience, I learned the importance of communication, transparency, and looking out for one another. It's not just about achieving individual success but lifting each other up and moving forward together as a team. So, here's a gentle reminder: never hesitate to lean on your team, and always extend a helping hand when needed. Together, we can accomplish anything! 🚀 #ThrowbackThursday #ProductdiveExperience #5daysLinkedInchallenge #ppmproducdive #productdive

No, I'm not at #CES2024. And no, I don't miss it... For the first time in many years (not including Covid), I'm not at the annual semi-official kickoff to a new year in our industry. Truthfully, I'm more than ok not being there because I now work at such an amazing company and with such amazing people. This week, instead of being in Vegas, I'm in Sydney with all 600 other #Roktstars for our annual Global Kick Off or GKO. It's something that's been happening for many years. It's a simpe concept: Bring together EVERY employee of the company to create #connection, #clarity and #courage for the year ahead. It's what makes hyper-growth possible. It's crazy to see the number of #Roktstars who've attended so many in the past. And it's even more crazy to see the number (160+) of #Roktstars like me who are at their first. This is by far the best way to share (& discuss & debate) our goals for the year ahead, to build excitement for our year ahead and to celebrate all that makes Rokt such an impressive and amazing place to work. 🤝🏆⚡🚀 🏋️💡🎢 🫶... Organizing project teams by capabilities has its advantages, perhaps. We at Caravel Labs, however, like to organize for speed to market. It minimizes the number of relationships that need to be managed for project success and it grows our people by setting them on a path of continuous learning. At Caravel Labs, we're generalists in small teams. We do, or learn to do, what it takes to get the job done. #softwaredevelopment #productdevelopment #engineeringlife #devlife
