Earlier today at Infosys Confluence, our annual summit for clients, partners and industry analysts, I really enjoyed chatting with James Mitcheson from
Citizens bank and Amy Nordrum from MIT Technology Review. After all, it’s not every day that brand builders and technology evangelists exchange notes, and vehemently agree that CMOs and CIOs should collaborate more deeply – given that we are seeking to better-understand and serve the same customers!
And, in the time of #AI, this collaboration has the potential to be so much more fruitful.
We marketers are starting to:
1. Unlock data-driven insights with AI-powered tools that enable us to precisely target and personalize experiences
2. Automate and optimize marketing processes freeing up the team to focus on high-impact strategic pursuits
3.Democratize creativity for all – thanks to the prowess of #genai when it comes to inspiring new ideas and powering new experiences
Infosys CTO, Rafee Tarafdar is already a great partner in the journey, helping us scale these use cases by instituting the AI-first culture, in our company, and ensuring it is responsibly and ethically executed.
In turn, marketing is helping the tech organization with market insights including strategy, branding, communication and channels - to take AI-powered innovations to customers as well as our employees. After all, our own teams can be compelling ambassadors when it comes to authentically advocating for the value of #enterpriseAI and its many applications.
Power-partnership – is what best describes the CIO-CMO alliance. That’s because it’s not win-win just for us and our organizations – but also for our customers – who now can enjoy truly personalized, highly relevant AI-powered innovations and experiences,– in a way that brings most value to them. And all this is a reality because the CMO and the CIO are not just talking, they are walking the talk!
Where is this conversation going in your company? Any anecdotes and insights to share – I’d love to listen and learn more.
