With Amazon EventBridge, you can simplify the integrations to ✔️ Seamlessly connect microservices, applications, and SaaS providers ✔️ Trigger workflows and actions across different AWS services ✔️ Improve reliability with built-in error handling and retries ✔️ Scale effortlessly without managing servers ✔️ Build decoupled, responsive, real-time applications #AWS #EventBridge #CloudComputing #EventDriven #Serverless #CloudArchitecture #Microservices #SaaS #Automation
It's crazy how many of you are sleeping on EventBridge Pipes! It's the easiest way to move data around between databases, queues, streams and even APIs (not limited to API Gateway) and your compute. At $0.40 per million requests entering the pipe, it's also a very cost-efficient solution. If you need to transform data between the source and target, it also supports using a Lambda transformer to do just that. If this is the first time you have heard about it, start by reading the official documentation. It's a simple service. You can figure it out pretty quickly, and it'd become a super useful tool on your belt! https://lnkd.in/eGjQ9ip5 #aws #eventbridge

Setting up proper Observability in your cloud deployments is a key requirement to being successful over the long term. Being able to track what is going on internally and debug issues is important. One popular tool in this space is Open Telemetry. The example before shows how to set this up. There are many different types of platforms you can use to collect measurements from your products, including many premium ones that provide great tooling but with a cost. Using Open Telemetry along with other open source tools can give you a great starting point. Below, TJ Podobnik shows how to setup the OTLP Collecter in your Kubernetes cluster. https://lnkd.in/ep7hbrxK

I pleased to announce that last week Neo4j announced the GA of Change Data Capture (CDC) in Aura Virtual Dedicated Cloud (formerly known as Aura Enterprise) and Neo4j Enterprise subscriptions enabling customers to build event driven applications. In tandem with the CDC release, the v5.1 GA of the Neo4j Connectors for #Apache #Kafka and Confluent now provide CDC strategies which make it simple to take advantage of CDC - no need to include timestamps in data models or run time based queries simply poll the transaction logs for efficient change notification. The connectors come with improved error handling, conform to Apache Kafka's configuration practices and the Confluent connector comes with schema support for Avro, JSON and Protobuf. For more details check out the CDC announcement https://lnkd.in/eFuHZenM blog and the connector's What's New. Huge thanks to all the teams, and customers and partners who were involved in bringing this feature to the database and Aura Console.

Cloud Foundations topic does not let me go somehow, apologies. Following my post describing a Cloud Foundations Accelerator framework we have been using, Emel Mendoza, Manuela Beltrami and myself decided to write something on automating Cloud Foundations environment using HCP Terraform. So here we are , with Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3! Why this topic? There are a lot of articles on IaC for Workloads, but not so much on IaC for a Landing Zone, even less on how to actually start automating a Landing Zone.

A peek into lambda warm starts Lambda Execution Environment: Lambda initializes the execution environment based on configuration details like runtime and memory allocation. The environment transitions through phases: initialization, invocation, and shutdown. After a function completes, Lambda retains the environment briefly, allowing subsequent invocations to benefit from a warm start, avoiding the need for re-initialization. Optimizing for Warm Starts: To take advantage of warm starts and optimize for faster, more cost-effective invocations: - Provisioned Concurrency: Maintains the environment in a ready state, ideal for synchronous invocations. - Store and Reference Dependencies Locally - Minimize Variable Re-initialization - Reuse Existing Connections - Use tmp Space for Transient Caching - Ensure Background Processes Are Completed - Initialize SDK Clients and Dependencies Outside the Handler #aws #serverless #cloud

Did you know......... 🤔? Within Synatic, the regex patterns allow you to retrieve specific files from a list of files in an SFTP server quickly and effectively using simple steps and connections 🔌 This also allows you to also send multiple files from your local machine to an SFTP server as a destination. ⚙ Get connected today by sending an email to info@synatic.com To find out how, click on the links below: https://lnkd.in/gJ66UgsD https://lnkd.in/gKGG3Vsa #saas #dataintegration #sftp #regexpatterns #specificfiles #localmachine

Initially, we thought that these incidences were rare. But, we are now regularly coming across situations where large amount of 💵 $s are wasted because of lack of awareness 🤦 Recent Incident: An organization we are working with, acquired another organization 🤝 for business reasons. After acquisition, to consolidate, they executed a migration 🔄 project. During the migration, their DevOps team 🧑💻 closely monitored utilization📊. What they hadn’t accounted for were the data transfer costs between S3 buckets and Redshift clusters. These costs weren’t visible ⛓️💥 in real-time metrics ℹ️ , only showing up during bill generation 📃. This resulted into overall project cost getting doubled 👎👎 ! If you want to avoid getting into such situations, join our webinar. We will discuss more such incidences, and how to prevent them. 📅 Date: Fri, 18 Oct 2024 🕔 Time: 04:30 PM IST ⌛Duration: 90 mins ✅ Register now: https://lnkd.in/dgy44rSe 📃 Agenda: 1.
