"Ada, you seem very active in attending events" is a common comment I get from people I meet. 😃 Yes, my role focuses on business development and partnerships, thus, events are great for me! I often get to learn new things, widen my horizons, and make new friends at events. 🤗 I was invited to GS1 Singapore Members Networking Forum yesterday. 🍸 @GS1 standards are the most widely used system of standards in the world. Selling a product starts with a GS1 barcode number/GTIN. Businesses can also combine different GS1 standards to streamline business processes such as traceability. The ever-energetic CEO of GS1 Singapore, Mr Ang Christopher shared about the transition to QR Codes with GS1 standards. QR Codes powered by GS1 can connect consumers to extensive amounts of product information– including usage and recycling instructions, safety, nutritional information, and industry certifications. 👏🏼 Thus event was co-organised by Amazon Web Services (AWS) , OPSOLUTIONS , and @IngramMicro. Thanks once gain to our friends Mervin Toh and Ileanne Arango and team at OPS for inviting us, and all the organisers for hosting us, feeding us great food, and sharing interesting insights. 🥂

To celebrate the best Services of Switzerland we need another type of award. One where it's not those who: - pay - know how to market themselves - have the time to write an application Who win an award. But rather those services that: - serve well their customers - leave a big and lasting impression on them If they are big, small, tiny, good at marketing or suck at it shouldn't be a criteria. That's what we're working on with a small team form the Service Design Network Switzerland. And for that we're trying another type of award. A more democratic one where we ask the general population to nominate great services. And don't ask the companies to apply.

Complexities of doing business have increased multi-fold in the recent past.
