The latest Gold ETF report published by the World Gold Council shows that global gold ETFs continue to witness inflows for the fifth consecutive month. These recent inflows have now flipped global ETF inflows year-to-date into the green, to US$389mn, highlighting a strong shift in appetite from Eastern to Western investors over the past few months. Gold had another stellar month in September, posting very healthy gains of 4.6% to end at US$2,630/oz. The rate cut from the US Federal Reserve helped gold, of course, and further cuts over the balance of the year and into 2025 create positive tailwinds for the gold price from here. http://spr.ly/6040UW4S8

🚨 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐇𝐢𝐭 𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐓𝐅 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬 🚨 The precious metal market is presenting a fascinating paradox. Despite the outflows from Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), the price of gold has surged to unprecedented heights. The attached chart illustrates a noteworthy trend: as total ETF holdings (depicted in blue) have seen some decline, the gold spot price (in pink) has climbed, achieving record levels. This divergence suggests that investors continue to see gold as a reliable store of value amid economic uncertainty, preferring to hold it directly or in other forms than ETFs. The resilience of gold prices during periods of ETF outflows may indicate a robust demand undercurrent, possibly as a hedge against inflation or currency fluctuations. As we navigate through complex economic landscapes, the luster of gold doesn't seem to fade, maintaining its status as a cornerstone in diversified portfolios. 📊 Source: Financial Times, data from Deutsche Bank & Bloomberg #gold #preciousmetal #inflow #outflow #economy #storevalue
