World Green Building Council’s Post

What an incredible week we had at the WorldGBC Leadership Summit on 24–27 June 2024. Thank you to all the Green Building Councils (GBCs) and sustainability leaders from around the world who joined us in person or supported the event online. We hope you found the week as inspiring, energising and empowering as we did. In this post Summit thought leadership piece, WorldGBC CEO, Cristina Gamboa, outlines her reflections on how we need to be empowering the finance community and building on political momentum, and how we are addressing this in our sharpened strategy. We have 2,000 days to rise to the 2030 climate challenge. Even with the zeitgeist on our side, we have a huge gap to bridge in our sector. There is so much work to be done – but our network has shown us that they’re already leading the way. So let’s make it count. Let’s keep #BuildingTheTransition.
