The Science of the Positive framework is based on the core assumption that the Positive is real, it exists and is worth growing - in ourselves, our families, our workplaces and our communities (Linkenbach, 2007). This is not just about positive thinking, but is based on the concept that if we want health, we must promote health! This new view of the world profoundly impacts the questions we ask, the data we collect, and how we approach leadership. This great work is happening in communities across the country with exceptional outcomes in prevention and health promotion. A very interesting report by Public Health Wales exploring how societal changes such as the increase of single person households and working from home is leading to loneliness, and therefore a decrease in health and well-being. It highlights the importance of creating spaces that focus on community and collaboration. The Biophilic Living project offers such solutions through the concept of Biophilia, by offering office/working and meeting spaces, communal gardens and farm, exhibition and educational spaces, as well as collaborating with local organisations such as Urban Foundry | B Corp™ who similarly promote such things. Great to see The Hive on Stow Hill, Newport, project mentioned - 'Well-being, Community and Placemaking', promoting all the efforts happing in Wales to improve our communities. #wellbeing #community #futurewales #futuregenerationsact #biophilicliving #biophilicwales #healthierwales #resilientwales #responsiblewales #vibrantwales #equalwales #prosperouswales
