At World Impact, we exist to see the Gospel of the Kingdom proclaimed by the local church in communities of poverty. Two of our core values are trust and team. We're grateful that our staff again validated us as a Best Christian Workplace in October of 2023. Our Core Values (Our social contract with each other) Trust (Matthew 22:37-40) We trust God, our leaders, and one another. Because of this, we relate to one another with confidence and integrity. Staff collaborate for the sake of the mission. Calling (1 Peter 4:10) We affirm God’s calling of every staff member. We are each uniquely gifted to contribute towards the mission. We use our gifts to the best of our ability to accomplish our shared vision together. Innovation (Isaiah 43:18-19) We believe God is doing a new thing in the city. We take risks and fail forward together. Everything we do is for maximum growth and impact. All People (Galatians 3:28) We hold that every person and all ethnic groups are made in God’s image. We affirm the Spirit’s freedom to call both women and men in leadership. Our desire is to create a diverse staff community. Team (Romans 12:4-5) We achieve results together, by God’s grace. We walk in humility and mutual respect. In all things, we embrace robust dialogue and accountability. You can learn more about our beliefs and statement of faith on our website: https://vist.ly/thb4

I believe that in 10 years there will be more house churches in America than traditional churches...why? There are a number of factors converging to make this a reality that I had never put together until I visited Canada and spoke with church leaders there. The economic sustainability of our current model is severely in question. I think what is coming will bear more fruit than what we are used to and it will be a true move of God rather than a detriment. Would love it if you would reflect on this and share your thoughts so we can all learn from each other. https://lnkd.in/eFSHtE42

God and country represent the deep connection between faith and patriotism, two powerful forces that have shaped human history and societies. For many people, God symbolizes the divine presence that guides and protects us, providing a sense of purpose and comfort in times of uncertainty. Country, on the other hand, represents the land we call home, the shared values and traditions that bind us together as a community. The bond between God and country is often seen as a sacred one, reflecting the belief that our faith and allegiance to our nation are intertwined. It is a reminder that our actions should be guided by moral principles and a sense of duty to serve and protect our fellow citizens. In times of turmoil and division, the ideals of God and country can serve as a beacon of hope, inspiring us to work towards a better future for all. It is a reminder that, despite our differences, we are united by a common humanity and a shared responsibility to uphold justice, freedom, and equality. Ultimately, the concept of God and country is a testament to the enduring power of faith and patriotism in shaping our identities and shaping our collective destiny.

The Kingdom of God is meant to permeate every sector of society with His justice and peace. For many years, however, we have left this area to others in our nations and the vacuum that the church left has been filled by other people, with other ideologies. What would it look like to intentionally bring God's justice to the political sphere? Are there Biblical and historical examples that can help us as we walk this path?
