I'm grateful to Energy Impact Partners for recognizing the work we're doing at World Kinect to support innovation in decarbonization for our businesses and those of our customers. It's certainly been an exciting endeavor and rewarding for me both personally and professionally to be part of the team leading our initiatives within World Kinect Sustainability Ventures. One key takeaway over these last several years is that there is no “silver bullet” when it comes to solving the vast complexities of the energy transition. Bold exploration requires collaboration and by partnering with early-stage companies through EIP, as well as other forward-thinking companies in the energy sector, we can successfully tackle this global challenge. #sustainability #energytransition

The Belgian magazine De Tijd and newspaper L'Echo launched a competition for #changemakers: companies whose technology, products and services, or business model are most promising in tackling climate change.   We were thrilled to see that 3 of the 30 selected companies are CAPTURE business members: EKOPAK Sustainable Water, D-CRBN and AM-Team.   🔦In the coming days we will be shedding a light on each one of them separately.   A professional jury will select two companies - a start-up and a mature company – to be this year’s Changemakers. 🗳️ Interested in casting a vote for the Changemakers Audience Award? I'm glad my insights on CSOs’ roles based on various ESG case studies in Southeast Asia resonated with the audience. The session highlighted the critical balance between achieving Net Zero for the environment and Net Positive for businesses. Furthermore, it emphasized the importance of facilitating discussions on trade-offs and long-term ESG strategies, while leading the approach for material assessment in sustainability reporting like GRI. #ESG #ESGConsulting #GRI

🚀 Exciting start to the OnePointFive (opf.degree) Academy Sustainability Consulting Accelerator fellowship! 🌍 Last week, we dove into the history of sustainability and explored key regulations and frameworks. We also learned about net zero targeting using the SBTi approach. Curious to see how Kenyan companies are committing to sustainability, I checked the SBTi dashboard and found 9 companies listed, including Safaricom PLC. Evaluating their commitments, it's inspiring to see their dedication to reducing scope 1 & 2 GHG emissions by 43% by 2030 and 74% by 2050.
