🔍 Experimenting AR in Airport Control Towers In our latest venture, we took the learnings from #SESAR3JU RETINA and PJ05-W2 Digital Technologies for Towers to the next level. We conducted a groundbreaking experiment in Bologna, implementing augmented reality directly in the airport control tower. Imagine controllers having vital information at their fingertips, seamlessly integrated into their physical surroundings. 👁️🗨 Key Highlights of the Experiment: 1️⃣ Enhanced Situational Awareness: AR overlays provide controllers with dynamic data, including weather conditions, and runway statuses, allowing for quicker and more informed decisions. 2️⃣ Reduced Workload: Automation assists controllers, reducing cognitive load and allowing them to focus on critical tasks. 3️⃣ Improved Collaboration: AR facilitates real-time collaboration among controllers, fostering a more connected and responsive air traffic management system. ASPER (Automotive Software-Defined Perception Radar) is a 720-degree 4D Radar calculating the elevation, distance, speed, and height of objects surrounding, above, and below, from 1cm to 100m accuracy, with cascaded array systems capable of 800m resolution.
