I am thrilled to announce the release of my new book, "The Real ROI: Return On Inclusion," co-authored with the incredible Pedro David Espinoza and Maria Lensing. In today's AI-driven world, especially in the wake of the pandemic and the rise of remote work, reassessing our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategies has never been more crucial. The Real ROI delves deep into: - Moving beyond token gestures to tackle systemic barriers. - Eradicating unconscious biases and ensuring equitable opportunities. - Building a culture grounded in trust and understanding. As workplace dynamics evolve, trust is the cornerstone of successful DEI efforts. Without it, even the most well-meaning initiatives fall short. By embracing diverse perspectives and addressing the unique challenges of all workforce segments, we can create an inclusive culture that fosters innovation. This book features interviews with 50 esteemed CEOs, including: -Michael Dell -Carol Christ (Berkeley Chancellor) -John Hennessy (Alphabet Chairman) -Shellye Archambeau (MetricStream CEO) -Monica Lozano (Apple Board Director) They share tangible steps on how to embrace inclusion and make meaningful changes in their organizations. Join us on this journey to understand the real return on inclusion and how it can transform our workplaces for the better. #TheRealROI #DEI #Inclusion #Diversity #Equity #Leadership #Innovation

How exciting is this! Yesterday marked an exciting debut of our collaborate report at The Shard “GENERATIONS: What is the productivity potential of your multigenerational workforce?”- a pivotal effort brought forth by Protiviti UK and The Inclusion Initiative at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). A special shout-out to our amazing panelists Tyy Christian⚡️, Auriol Stevens, Gethin Nadin and Daniel Jolles and to Matt Duncan, Managing Director, Protiviti UK, for seamlessly leading the discussion. The insights shared by the panelists on how to approach the productivity problem among the generations at work were truly thought provoking. This launch marks the beginning of a multi-year collaboration that will equip organisations with precise, data-backed insights aimed at enhancing productivity across diverse generations in the workforce. People don’t need to hear from me from beyond the grave, I’m sure I annoy them enough as a physical manifestation (and will hopefully continue to do so for many years to come). So I’m firmly in the “Do Not Bot Me” camp, for now anyway. You can read more about this under ‘Death Undone\Game Tech’ on P.39 of the 2024 Edges report, which dropped this week. It’s part of 41 fascinating Edges that the Backslash team have published (and this year, the Disruption Index has allowed them to now quantify the Strength, Speed, AND Spend of these Edges). TBWA\Worldwide’s cultural intelligence unit Backslash is the brain behind the 2024 Edge glossary. More than a trend report, this isn’t about spotlighting the hot new here-today-gone-tomorrow fads: It’s a future-focused look at the most substantial global cultural shifts. Edges give us a blueprint for brands needing to adapt to the inevitable twists and turns at the heart of emergent culture. The full glossary can be downloaded here 👇 https://lnkd.in/gi62Trsy Big thanks to Jen Costello, Cecelia Girr Skyler Hubler and team Jane Fraser Faye Raincock (Nickolds) Alrick Dorett Tessa Conrad Oliver Kunze Peter Khoury Emmanuel Sabbagh

If we were corporate board directors, our chief concern would be spending an inordinate amount of our lives in sterile, overly air conditioned conference rooms. As for the people who actually sit on public company boards, their active priorities are fortunately a bit more global. Earlier this summer, Agenda and Charter teamed up to survey the US boardroom crowd on their organization’s most pressing needs. Perhaps unsurprisingly, especially during a week rife with economic turbulence like this one, the most-common shared priority was sailing their companies through choppy economic waters. When they turn inward, executives are fretting over how to retain top talent and keep their employees both productive and engaged (those concerns were also atop Chief Executive’s January 2024 survey). AI, refreshingly, narrowly missed out on the urgent-priorities medal stand, but Lord knows there are plenty of other places you can turn to if you’re desperate for executive sentiment about the emerging tech.

🏛️ Whirlwind trip to DC earlier this month. I attended the CNBC CEO Council Summit, held a kick-off dinner with our new Advisory Board and met US Senators, US Representatives, and the head of the US Small Business Administration. It was an honor to introduce Deel to such influential policymakers. A few quick learnings: 1) The resonance of our message, particularly in helping small businesses go global and boosting local jobs/investment, was palpable. 2) Our data on worker trends can provide tremendous insight into labor market dynamics. 3) Policymakers are rightfully focused on understanding AI’s potential impact on the workforce and the need to upskill workers for the jobs of tomorrow. I am thoroughly convinced that Deel will be at the forefront of shaping the future of work. Look forward to continuing to spend more time with policy leaders. Until next time 💪
