Implementing QR code ordering and payment systems can significantly increase restaurant revenues. Reports show an increase in average order sizes by approximately 12% to 42%. F&B businesses have seen a 35% increase in sales within 30 days of implementing self-serve QR code ordering. Customers using mobile order and pay systems typically see a 9% higher check size than standard dine-in experiences. These increases are due to the convenience and efficiency QR code systems provide, allowing customers to order and pay at their own pace, leading to more frequent and higher-value orders. Today’s restaurant patrons demand faster and more convenient service and actively seek out establishments that fulfill their expectations. Implementing real-time payments could be a vital step toward meeting customers where they are, says PYMNTS. Restaurant patrons enjoy digital integration for payments but not for much else. The pandemic saw the introduction of numerous digital restaurant features designed to limit contact between patrons and staff, but not all were well received. A PYMNTS Intelligence survey revealed that just 23% of restaurant-goers liked viewing menus via QR codes, but they greatly enjoyed the time savings of using the codes to pay the bill at the end of the meal. One payments company reported that its QR code payment solutionshortens the average restaurant visit by 15 minutes and boosts tips by 10%. #restaurants #dining #payments #QR

In the ever-changing landscape of the restaurant industry, we understand that the recent trends in delivery and takeaway sales pose both opportunities and challenges for your business 💡👀 Sales have stabilised since late 2021—a mixed blessing for restaurant operators like yourself. On a positive note, this shift signifies a return to pre-Covid-19 habits for many consumers, opting for the unique experiences that dining out offers. However, it also points to a growing concern as some consumers tighten their belts in the face of rising household bills. In this climate, where business costs are soaring and third-party delivery platforms claim a significant portion of sales, guaranteeing your already slim profit margins became a difficult task throughout 2023. The decline in takeaway orders is not just a numerical dip; it reflects a broader shift towards normalcy in consumer behaviour. Here's where we come in — pleez, your ally in navigating these challenges and unlocking the potential for growth. We specialise in implementing data-driven strategies for your menu on delivery platforms. By harnessing the power of data, we can help you tailor your offerings to align with shifting consumer preferences, optimise pricing strategies, and ultimately enhance your profitability. 👉🏻 Reach out to us today! trypleez.com

Do you see the third-party delivery model ultimately being a benefit or hindrance for restaurants? What about for deliverers? On one hand, there's no denying that it has the potential to increase visibility and profit. But I don't see profit being the big problem here. The biggest issue I've seen is growing tensions between ALL involved parties—customers, restaurants, and deliverers. When a restaurant forgets to give a drink or finishes an order a few minutes late, deliverers tend to receive the blame. If food arrives cold due to long delivery times, the restaurant is often criticized. If prices are deemed too high for either party, both get blamed, regardless of the prices of the cheaper party. And the list goes on and on. Not only is the misplaced blame unfair, all of this leads to one major issue: a complete loss of customer loyalty and trust for restaurants and deliverers alike. When the customer experience is negatively affected in any way, everyone suffers. Even with increased communication, the third-party model is extremely difficult to perfect due to unforeseen circumstances harming anyone. What, if anything, could potentially fix this model? What better options are there? #FoodService #RestaurantIndustry #FoodTrends #RestaurantTrends

‘Do delivery aggregators really understand the financial realities of running a restaurant - and if they did, would they do anything about it?’ A recent webinar from Food On Demand and theDelivery.World featured a senior executive from a major European restaurant operator's response: If only they understood, things would be so much better – and we’d all make money. The problems with excessive commission fees, a lack of transparency, and operational limitations are at the center of this conversation. Given their narrow 3-5% profit margins, restaurants find the 30% delivery platform fees especially onerous. Tensions remain even though some contend that aggregators do, to some extent, understand these challenges. The central issue? Aggregators frequently put their own needs ahead of comprehending the difficulties faced by restaurants. Going forward, restaurants and delivery aggregators may find more mutually beneficial ways to work together if they encourage candid communication and look beyond rate reductions for creative solutions. https://lnkd.in/g3h6gzmv

🥕At a time when #foodcosts comprise a third of restaurant expenses, surging #foodinflation is making it difficult for even the most popular restaurants to stay profitable. 🥕But there’s another factor at play: Opaque and fragmented supplier ordering processes. 🥕This fragmentation has made it difficult to know how much prices vary between different suppliers. Until now. 👩🍳Synthesizing over 40,000 pricing data points gathered in real-time from over 200 of the nation’s largest food suppliers, Zitti has compiled a report that reveals an alarming trend: prices on identical food items can vary 27% on average between suppliers, and in many cases north of 50% 👩🍳 How much is food price variance impacting your restaurant?
