I'm interested to hear the most recent trends re. turnover in Middle Management. Are there trends shared across our sector, or are certain industry areas struggling more than others to attract and keep people eg. Disability; Aged Care? And apart from the obvious - such as desire for 'flexibility' - what other common themes are emerging for NFP employees? What are they looking for? Is it common across roles; age groups etc? Please join us to hear what other leaders are doing about it?
One of the most discussed topics in our NPA Leadership Hubs is the need for NFP leaders to stay ahead of the curve in today's ever-changing landscape. That's why we're excited to invite you to our half-day June Workshop: "Rethinking the Currency of Employment in the For-Purpose Sector." Join us as we explore: Global Trends: Stay proactive with insights into workforce shifts. The New Currency of Employment: Attract and retain top talent with innovative strategies. Cultural Implications: Elevate your organisation's culture for sustainable growth. Panel & Networking: Learn from industry leaders and share real-world insights. The role of the CIO has evolved beyond just "plan, build, run." Leaders like Raj Polanki, US Division CIO at Wacker, are redefining what it means to be a successful CIO by championing DEI. Understanding why DEI matters to YOU fuels your motivation and ability to advocate for it. Embed DEI principles in your immediate circle to set the example. Publicly endorse your DEI principles and show your employees you mean it. Weave DEI principles into leadership training, onboarding, and other company programs. Create dedicated spaces (online & offline) for DEI discussions and support groups. Make DEI data readily available to break down silos and empower action. Partner with other departments like ESG to leverage data for better decision-making. All these insights come from Raj's story as an inspiration for all leaders to embrace a more holistic approach, where technology and human values work hand-in-hand to build a better future. #CIO #Holistic #DEI #ESG #Data

Multi Award Winning Business strategist, TedX Speaker, Futurist & Coach helping business owners everywhere thrive. Over 60's powerhouse, passionate about women in business (who also writes spy novels as Wendy Charlton)
I love helping leaders and managers gain a competitive edge and one of the easiest ways to do that is to learn how to think strategically. Strategic thinkers: • Are able to see possibilities and opportunities • Can 'read' the environment they operate in • Don’t limit themselves to the ‘tried and true’ or ‘best practice’. • Assign greater importance to ideas with the greatest impact and return. • Change their approach to a problem or situation according to circumstances These are game-changing skills in leaders and business owners as they help to stabilise and protect a business from market forces and deliver a competitive edge keeping you ahead of the pack. To launch my Strategic Thinking programme in April I will be offering a free Masterclass in Developing Strategic Skills on Wednesday 13th March 2024. Designed HR specialists, leaders, senior managers and business owners to understand how they can leverage their strategic thinking to be more successful. I will be sharing the details of how to secure your free place this week, so watch this space. #strategicleadership #competitiveedge #businessgrowthstrategy Sarah Gardner Andrea Vinten Andy Street Jane Rosam Nisha Mehta Anita Popat Anita Alleyne Tracy Irwin Tracey Cox Tapiwa Mtemachani FInstLM Lynn Tolley Karen Heap Karen Woolley LL.B (Hons)Olivia Marocco Olivia AmarteyRuth ForsterRuth LambertJoanne SmithFahimah Adam Contracts Lawyer and PodcasterLiz BurleyHelen ShawNancy Zare Ph.D.Clive Hornsby ★ Facilitating Positive Human Impact

We are eagerly counting down the days for the keynote "In Pursuit of the Modern Organization: Management Fads and Falsehoods Keeping Us Stuck" with Bill Schaninger and Christie Smith, Senior Partners at Modern Executive Solutions. It’s time to pull apart decades of leadership and management “best practices” and get to what actually works. A truly modern organization is one that is capable of evolving and taking people and business into the future. Key Takeaways include: - The outdated leadership principles you should leave behind + the introduction of the Modern Leadership Framework - Why putting humans at the center of management and leadership is good for business - Insights into navigating the complexity of today's leadership requirements in the context of social and geo-political headwinds Christie Smith retired from her previous position as Global Lead for Talent & Organization and was a former member of the Global Management Committee at Accenture. She currently serves on the Board of Directors at Endo International (Nasdaq), an international pharmaceuticals company, where she holds positions on the Compensation and Governance/ESG Committees. Bill Schaninger, Senior Partner Emeritus at McKinsey & Company, advises senior executives on how to strengthen their business performance through enhanced culture, values, and talent. As an REF executive forum leader and executive coach, I hear these challenges quite often from my leaders. The challenges are not totally new challenges, but certainly challenges that are continuing to expand after Covid and the move to a hybrid workforce. Meeting these challenges is not impossible. However, it will take dedicated leadership and mindful interpersonal communications to be successful! Understand what your motivates your employees and work with them to co-create an environment in which each person can feel successful!
To win in 2024, leaders should consider re-tooling their management strategies to better support the changing needs of their workforce and organizational culture. Start by addressing the following six trends that leaders should pay attention to, according to Gallup. Learn more about REF: https://ref.global
