While leaders are looking in every pot of gold to motivate their people, the real secret may not be in the pay cheque solely, but in the human capacity to give and receive appreciation. And to do it with consistent flow, delight and energy. So, what does that look like? At Woven Bark we’ve spent all of 2023 mapping out the deeper truth of employee sustainability, working closely with our clients to underpin that ‘thing’. That thing that will push a team’s joy buttons; that thing that will fuel individual excitement; that thing that will keep the company culture intact. We found it, and we’re sharing it with you all through 2024. It’s called Route to Recognition…and it’s about to drop with love, this Feb. #wovenbarkstudios #corporategifting #celebratelife #curatedexperiences #giftexperiences #sensorialexperiences #somethingunexpected

Head of Community Connections @ Reward Gateway | Championing HR leaders | Professional Chatterbox | Conference Speaker | Wellbeing advocate | Inclusion
People experience is gaining momentum 📈 At Reward Gateway | Edenred we talk a lot about the value of appreciation and showing employees that they're valued for who they are, not just what they do. And that's achieved by considering all areas of your people experience, right from the foundations of meeting basic physiological needs through pay and benefits, to reward & recognition, L&D, inclusion, connection, wellbeing... the list goes on! Inspired by my lovely colleague Mollie Williams who started her HR Heroes series on LinkedIn (really recommend checking it out, it's brilliant) I wanted to delve into people experience and understand what's on people's minds right now, what the next big trends are and what we could do without in the HR world. Cue my first ever guest for 'The People People Experience' - Emily Franklin, Head of People at Kaluza, part of the Ovo group. We talked about the importance of transparency, fixing the 'HR will tell you off' culture that thankfully isn't so widespread these days and what Emily believes are the big opportunities in people experience. Emily also shared about the impact of "taking people on the journey with you" and how new values are having an impact at Kaluza. A really great conversation, thank you for being my first guest and sharing your thoughts! PS - Around 12 mins in I had to chop a little bit out to make this under LinkedIn's 15 minute video limit, so please forgive the slightly dodgy edit there haha 🙏 #peopleexperience #employeeexperience #hrcommunity

The Hidden Power of Rewards: Are We Missing the Mark? In an age where personalisation drives almost every part of our lives, why do so many rewards programmes still rely on one-size-fits-all solutions? Compensation has evolved, and the most innovative companies are tapping into the psychology of rewards—offering more than just paychecks, but packages that truly connect with individual motivations. Flexibility, recognition, well-being—it’s all part of a bigger conversation about what really makes employees thrive. Perhaps it’s time to look at rewards not as a static system, but as a dynamic tool for engagement, retention and growth. What if the future of work is hidden in plain sight? #HRInsights #FutureOfRewards #EmployeeMotivation #CompensationTrends #WorkplaceInnovation #WellbeingAtWork #HRDirectors #CPO

While monetary compensation is undoubtedly a driving force in the workplace, it's often the intangible rewards that truly inspire employees to excel. Recognition, praise, and rewards hold a profound influence, igniting a sense of value and appreciation within individuals. Beyond financial gains, acknowledgment for their efforts fosters a deeper sense of purpose and motivation, propelling employees to go above and beyond expectations. When organizations prioritize recognizing and rewarding their workforce, they not only cultivate a culture of appreciation but also fuel a collective drive towards excellence. In this synergy between tangible and intangible incentives, lies the key to unlocking the full potential of every individual within the workplace. #RecognitionMatters #EmployeeEngagement #Motivation #AppreciationCulture

Experienced Senior HR Manager at Shayan Solutions leading strategic initiatives, technical recruitment, talent acquisition and policy implementation. Optimizing performance and aligning HR with business goals.
💔 The Loyalty Dilemma 💔 Isn't it strange how companies expect us to be loyal and give our all, yet fail to honor their commitments to us? 🤔 We trust them with promises of promotions, raises, and growth, but when the time comes, many are left disappointed. 😔 Loyalty should be a two-way street—it needs to be earned, not demanded. If a company can’t keep its word, how can they expect us to stay loyal? 🛑 Remember your worth. You deserve respect, honesty, and a workplace that values you. 🌟 #RespectAtWork #EmployeeLoyalty #WeDeserveBetter #HR

In my opinion it is valuable to collect feedback from a variety of employees, including those in labor positions, it's important to consider the power dynamics and protentional challenges that might exit when seeking honest feedback from this group, labor positions often involve physically demanding work and may have higher proportion of workers in any organization. These workers are always facing systematic barriers to express their opinion freely or may fear retaliation or negative consequences for speaking out, so it's important to create inclusive environment for labor employees to share their thoughts while evaluating the company or their manager or any other processes related to them. #SupplyChain #Logistics #Distribution #Orderfulfillment #Reverselogistics #JITdelivery #Leanmanufacturing #Valuechain #Demandforecasting #Routeoptimization #Bussinessethics #workplace #collaboration #wellbeing #diversity #trueleaders #ethicalconduct #morality #encourage #positiveworkenvironment #humanrightambassadors #employeerelations #integration #compliance #retentions #conflictresolution #equality #racialequality #socialjustice #laborlaws #harmony #motivations #clarity #senseofpurpose #justice #businesssustainability #stability #resources

Fantastic session this afternoon with Laurie Ruettimann and Ian Blessing discussing corporate drinking, responsibility, entrepreneurship and questions for the workforce on how we manage work and alcohol. Takeaway from Ian - Have an idea and actually do it. Don’t just dream but turn passion into business. Furthermore, you don’t have to have all the answers. It’s ok to figure it out as you go 😊 Takeaway from Laurie - Let’s open the discussion around corporate responsibility and options for our teams when it comes work day and nighttime work along with the assumed drinking culture. Are we setting our teams up for success with current policies and expectations? Transform has been spectacular so far and still a bit more to go! #hr #hrtech

Go where your energy is reciprocated, celebrated and appreciated 🙏🏼 - The #3 reason most people leave their jobs is a lack of recognition. - Organizations with recognition programs have 31% lower voluntary turnover than those without. - Organizations with recognition programs in place experience 28.6% lower frustration levels than those without. - Organizations with sophisticated recognition programs are 12x more likely to have strong business outcomes. - Recognition for work is one of the top drivers of candidate attraction. - When companies spend 1% or more of payroll on recognition, 85% notice a positive impact on engagement. #cultureofrecognition #employeehappiness #rewardiskey
