Bees play a crucial role in Pakistan's agriculture and biodiversity. As primary pollinators, they enhance the productivity of crops such as fruits, vegetables, and oilseeds, which are vital for the country's food security and economy. Bees also support the growth of wild plants, maintaining ecological balance and biodiversity. On World Bee Day, it is essential to recognize and protect these industrious insects to ensure sustainable agriculture, conserve natural habitats, and bolster Pakistan's environmental health and resilience against climate change. #WorldBeeDay #Pollinators #BeesMatter #SustainableAgriculture #Biodiversity #FoodSecurity #EnvironmentalProtection #ClimateAction #PakistanAgriculture #SaveTheBees #EcoFriendly #Sustainability #NatureConservation #BeesInPakistan

Process Repetition 👇 A Bee never wastes its time explaining a Fly that sitting on flower is better than sitting on shit.... It just work tirelessly on the same task each and every day. No one are able to determine what motivates bees to do the same task everyday. However By products of her hardwork are.. 1. honey. 2. Prevention from predatory attacks by keeping all the bees together all times. 3. Pollination 4. Creation of honey combs for making light weighted furnitures. Its ok, when you dont know, why you are working so hard. If some one questions, your hardwork? Your importance of existence will never be understood by flies who flies as and when they decide to fly... #hardwork #Repetition #byproduct

With a puffy and prickly body, the spiny star (Hippasteria sp.) is easy to spot on the deep seafloor. 🌟 These stars roam the seafloor searching for a delicious dinner, and a hungry Hippasteria can be quite particular when it comes to feeding. For some, sea pens or anemones are their sole preference. Here in our backyard, spiny stars seek out prey that is particularly prevalent in the Monterey Bay and beyond: deep-sea corals. While some corals have evolved protective stinging sweeper tentacles to deter hungry predators, spiny stars are determined in their quest for a nutritious feast. They use tiny tube feet to scale a towering coral. When they find a good spot to stop, they wrap their arms around the stalk to hang on tight, then extrude their stomach out of their mouth to devour the juicy coral polyps. Hippasteria are important in restructuring the habitats where they live. As they leave dead coral skeletons behind, homes for new animals are created. This natural turnover keeps the community healthy and helps foster diversity among the fishes and invertebrates that live there. Episode 18: The Appprentice And The Bee Nesting Project in Full Swing! Just like any successful project, proper planning is crucial before setting out. Our video clip captures a female Red Mason bee (Osmia bicornis) pausing for a temperature check before taking off on her pollen collection trip. Solitary bees, like those shown here, are more sensitive to weather than honeybees and bumblebees, often appearing only when the air temperature nears 15°C.

Look at this really great flight activity! There are two things you can see here: 1. Foragers flying in and out, bringing home #nectar and #pollen. 2. More prominent: young bees on orientation flight. You can see that most bees "stand" in the air in front of the hive entrance. Young bees have to learn where their flight hole is, before they go foraging for the first time. They first fly up and down in front of the entrance, then begin to fly some rounds, before they're ready to call themselves foragers. #beebiology #MEDIBEES

Dancing bees! Bees love have a groom and when they do it looks like they’re doing a dance, twerking their booty, tilting their head from side to side, doing an antenna flick !Grooming ensures they stay healthy, removing specks of dust, dirt, and excess pollen. This here is a female Trichocolletes, the counterpart of the male I posted in my recent reel for @nationalscienceweek (check it out if you haven’t !) You can see she looks very different- like many bees, this species is sexually dimorphic (which can lead to taxonomic confusion, see my paper with @jamesbdorey published in @taxonomy_australia !). With Trichocolletes it’s very easy to tell the sexes apart at least - check out her scopae (pollen collecting hairs exclusive to females)If you’d like to learn more about IDing native bee sexes and genera email me at kitprendergast21@gmail.com for a copy of my guide You can also support my SciComm & outreach on my @patreon The Bee Babette :https://lnkd.in/ge-WTBy6 species was collected in Ravensthorpe, as part of my postdoc research with @unisqaus @unisq_saes @ilse_unisq for @thegrdc on canola #nativebees #bees #scicomm #beebabette #savethebees #wildbees #pollinators #ozpollinators #pollination #research #thisismyscience #sciencecommunication #dance #clean #beautyroutine @freya_beelady @ravensthorpewildflowershow @entomemeology @ourwaparks @thegrdc @ambae.abc @projectgnbee https://lnkd.in/gbym5dXt
