AI is already playing a major role in the advertising strategy of the Paris Olympics. 🏅✨ A recent survey by Optimizely found that 51% of UK marketers are using AI for Olympic marketing, and nearly two-thirds (62%) see AI as essential to improving how they experiment with different approaches. The benefits are clear: 59% believe AI reduces costs, 70% believe it speeds up the process, and 62% say AI gives them more accurate results.
Shafqat Islam, CMO of Optimizely, explains that AI is empowering marketers to quickly test dozens or even hundreds of different ideas at once, going beyond the limitations of traditional A/B testing in areas such as ad copy, imagery, and targeting, enhancing the process. 🆎 ✔
However, as more companies adopt AI-driven marketing, such as Yahoo Advertising's real-time, tailored ads, concerns about data privacy and regulation are also growing. The ethics of the three companies that develop, sell, and use AI will likely be increasingly questioned.
