The $10M lap! Yes I’m a Broncos fan but this guy is not just a good football player, he is brilliant at marketing. Most athletes are self-absorbed and just want the glory, and some may say that’s what Bo is doing here. But it’s not. He is taking a moment to thank fans! This is what we want. We want to share in the win. Value. He is building brand equity for the team, and himself. Value. No is one of the most talked about QB this year. Might even get the MVP. But you know what he will get outside all of that…brand deals. Why? He is likeable. Value. What can we learn from this Nick, I’m just a small business owner? Celebrate the wins! Many small business owner, like athletes are self-absorbed. When the job is over, you are gone! Never to come back. Never to say thank-you. Never celebrating a job well done. Celebrate with your customer! Come back after the project or service is done. Spend some extra time. Slap hands! Enjoy the win together. Now obviously you have to do a good job on the front end, but then, celebrate the wins. Celebrate the win.

After Guisborough’s strong start to the season, my focus shifted to analysing Kendal Town FC ahead of our next match. I went to watch their game against Redcar, and by this point, I had refined my live match analysis process based on my previous two experiences. Instead of navigating through structured questions during the game, I found it more efficient to jot down all observations at the top of the Notes page. This change allowed me to stay focused on the action without the distraction of scrolling through my phone. After the game, I would then organise the notes, placing each observation under the relevant section of my analysis template. This method ensured my reports were structured, clear, and easy for the manager to navigate, with every key aspect placed under its corresponding category. Kendal’s 4-0 defeat to Redcar presented another analytical challenge. Redcar were league favorites, so it was always going to be a difficult match for Kendal. As they went 3-0 down, I noticed that player effort and morale began to drop, making some of my observations less relevant—more a result of the scoreline than tactical or technical failings. This required me to be cautious in my post-match report, distinguishing between what was caused by the pressure of the game and what reflected Kendal’s usual style and tactics. This experience reinforced the importance of adaptability in my approach to analysis, and the need to contextualise observations within the flow and circumstances of the match.

Acknowledging small wins creates a sense of progress, which motivates us to keep moving forward. When we focus solely on the grand accomplishments, it's easy to dismiss the tiny victories that get us there. Those small wins might seem insignificant, but they are the building blocks of our success.
