🎙️ Excited to Share Insights on the Startup Ecosystem with Vuyo Joboda! 🎙️ I recently had the incredible opportunity to join the amazing Vuyo Joboda on her podcast, where we delved into the entrepreneurial mindset, the challenges within the startup ecosystem, and the critical topic of the poverty/scarcity mindset that holds many back from launching their businesses. We also touched on investment in Africa and what the future holds for our continent. I’m eager to watch the full interview, Vuyo, and continue the conversation on how we can identify and break free from the poverty mindset, embracing innovation as a pathway to true emancipation for Africans. This conversation is actually a glimpse into the book I’m currently writing. The book will explore how we, as Africans, can build successful, scalable startups with robust exit strategies. It’s primarily intended to empower African entrepreneurs, but it’s also a valuable resource for external ecosystem players—both founders and investors—looking to gain a deeper understanding of how to successfully do business and invest in Africa. Stay tuned for more insights and updates on this journey! #Entrepreneurship #Innovation #AfricanStartups #InvestmentInAfrica #MindsetShift #Empowerment

Sharing your story goes far beyond your book. Your stories matter anytime you’re visible… In podcast interviews In written articles In community circles The most valuable result of writing and publishing a bestseller is having stories to leverage throughout your day-to-day business experiences. When you leverage your story, you give people the chance to truly SEE you, get to know you, and (most importantly) feel connected to you. If you ever feel uncomfortable talking about your own experiences because you don’t want to be ME-ME-ME focused, remember: Your stories are a connection tool. And connection is the highest value you can offer another human being. —————————————————— If you’re a Fort Myers or Naples business owner, I’ve got TWO opportunities for you to share your story in a community of successful entrepreneurs, founders, and business owners. DM me for the details! #fortmyersbusiness #naplesbusiness #businesscommunity

What separates 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 entrepreneurs from 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 ones? In my experience, it comes down to three game-changing habits: 1️⃣ 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐥𝐲 – Every day, your focus needs to shift to what matters most in that moment. Successful entrepreneurs excel at identifying high-impact tasks and ignoring the noise. 2️⃣ 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐚𝐲 – Whether it’s a podcast, a book, or a mentor, consistent learning is an investment in yourself with unbeatable returns. 3️⃣ 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 – Small, daily actions compound into extraordinary results. The best entrepreneurs know it’s the long game that wins. Success isn’t magic – it’s a series of deliberate, uncomfortable actions outside your comfort zone. What habits have helped you grow as an entrepreneur? Let’s exchange ideas in the comments! 👇 #EntrepreneurMindset #BusinessGrowth #SuccessHabits #LeadershipDevelopment #PersonalGrowth

In my last blog I introduced the concept that many people should not attempt top become entrepreneurs, and that there are some standard behavioural types that will mostly prove to be unsuccessful. My friend Pam helped me come to this important insight. There are always exceptions but in general these types have fatal flaws. You don’t normally hear about them, as most writing and podcasts about entrepreneurship overly choose and celebrate success. There aren’t newsletters entitled The Serial Unpreneur or podcasts called Small Business Failure & Incompetence. But there should be in order to bring balance and perspective to the process of starting your own business. So let’s examine more of the types of people I have seen in my 25 plus years of being an entrepreneur. To read the rest of this article entitled The Pam Paradox part 2 - Five more types who are unsuited being Entrepreneurs the linked is the first comment
