This weekend, I watched the hype around the Oasis reunion tour for Summer 2025 from the sidelines. With ticket prices as they are, I decided not to chase after them and instead thought about the one Oasis concert I attended 15 years ago, right before they split (and that could still happen before this tour!). What surprised many was the impact of Dynamic Pricing on these high-demand concerts. We’re used to fluctuating prices for flights, hotels, or trains, but it feels different when it’s applied to our favorite bands. While we can be logical about travel or accommodation costs, emotions often take over when it comes to our favorite artists. Even though this sparks a lot of buzz, I don’t think we’ll see less of dynamic pricing in entertainment anytime soon. I expect politicians around the world to have plenty on their plates, so I just hope they’ll keep an eye on preventing predatory practices. For now, it’s fair to expect more dynamic pricing applied across the entertainment industry. And when a big event is announced, book your hotel room early—because the hospitality and airline industries will certainly react quickly with new rates.

Behind Every Great Festival Is a Year of Planning—Here’s Why Timing Is Everything Planning a festival isn’t a task for the faint-hearted. It’s a meticulous, well-oiled machine that requires a minimum of 9 months to a year of preparation to truly hit the mark. From the very first brainstorming session to the final touches, every detail counts. Imagine coordinating with artists, securing venues, managing ticket sales, and creating an atmosphere that will leave attendees talking for months—none of this happens overnight. It’s a process that requires dedication, precision, and a deep understanding of what makes a festival truly epic. The secret to a flawless festival experience lies in the months of behind-the-scenes work that you’ll never see. But trust us, every minute of planning is worth it when you see the joy on festival-goers’ faces. This is why timing is everything. A well-planned festival isn’t just an event; it’s a carefully crafted experience that’s designed to create lasting memories. So, if you’re thinking of throwing your own event, remember: start now, because good things take time. #FestivalPlanning #EventProfs #BehindTheScenes #FestivalPass #EpicEvents

I recently have posted that many fireworks events and festivals are being canceled due to lack of budget. Although it is not a decisive solution, some local governments are taking a countermeasure. That is, charging for seats at fireworks events and festivals. Sometimes the paid seats are quite expensive. It has also been reported that the sales of these expensive special seats have been good. There are opposing opinions that events hosted by public organizations such as municipalities and local shoppers associations should not be charged, because such events should be open to the public. In my opinion, I do not think that such events should be held at such a high cost. We understand that each local government has an obligation to revitalize the region. As a means to achieve this, they tend to think that holding an event that can attract a lot of people at once is an easy way to do so. However, even if it can attract people temporarily, it is unlikely to lead to a permanent increase in the number of people, let alone contribute to the increase in the population of the region. I have to say that there is little point in forcing an event that is so expensive to hold. Even if it contributes to raising awareness of the area a little, it does not directly lead to an increase in foot traffic throughout the year. I think it is recommended to take the time to work on regional promotion projects, rather than just seeking the momentary glamour of things like fireworks festivals. #fireworksjapan #hanabijapan #cancelevents #summerfestjapan #regionpromotion #eventsjapan #festivaljapan

Togather is partnering with GALA Festival again this year 🥳 If you know, you know. If you don’t 👉🏻 GALA has become one of the UK’s most popular day festivals and takes place in Peckham Rye Park in May. The Togather team went along together last year and had an absolute blast (don’t ask me if knew who any of the DJs were). Company socialising can often be limited to Christmas parties, in-office events or pub visits and while these are all great, these day festivals can be a great alternative. Why? 👇🏻 ☑ Quality time together: Time spent socially can often feel cut short. Spending a good ten hours together with no expectations is a completely different ballpark and you come out of it knoing so many people in the team much better. ☑ Truly switching off: Naturally, people can be a little tentative when socialising with workmates, but after we’d been at GALA for a few hours it was as if any element of guards being up dropped and people switching off ☑ Making company memories: A big part of company culture is built off those memories of the really amazing times you’ve had together, and I know that almost a year on our team are still reminiscing about this event! ☑ Building new bridges: While we always try and be mindful of cliques, getting the whole team together was a great opportunity for people to get to know others they didn’t necessarily speak to daily and form new connections. So my advice, try and get a big event like this in your company's social calendar each year! 🎉

🙅♀️ The Eldorado Festival being cancelled shouldn’t just be another festival cancellation because of the cost of living crisis. I had to record a video about it - because for decades, festivals have been a haven for community, belonging, inclusion and diversity, created for people to come together, have fun, celebrate and be part of something. We have all seen the struggle that many festivals and events have been challenged with since the pandemic due to a multitude of reasons, including the cost of living but also a lack of governmental support for independent businesses to thrive. It raises important questions about why we need to support community-driven events that generate cultural diversity more than ever, because frankly it’s so annoying and frustrating to see festivals being cancelled time and time again. They shouldn’t be forced to close their doors. So what can we do? 👉Come together and advocate for dedicated government support and aid. 👉Advocate for flexible insurance options. What else would you suggest? Because it worries me that we are going to lose these important cultural events and festivals… Does it worry you?
