Did you know that WTC Utah President and CEO Jonathan Freedman has served as honorary consul to Ukraine in Utah since 2008? 🇺🇦 In 2023, Utah was the first state in the nation to send a trade and humanitarian delegation to Ukraine following the full-scale invasion. WTC Utah accompanied Senate President Stuart Adams and 28 Utah companies on the mission, aiming to build economic ties and mutual prosperity. On July 12th, we were honored to support Gov. Spencer Cox in welcoming the Ukrainian delegation, including President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska, to Utah. The day culminated with the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Utah and Kyiv Oblast, the Ukrainian province surrounding the capital city of Kyiv.
