I was heading to the gym the other day when it started raining. Turning back would have been easy. But I didn’t. Why? Because I’d already made a series of small commitments: 𝗜 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝘆𝗺. 𝗜 𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘀. 𝗜 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗵-𝘂𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝘂𝗺𝗽 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘂𝗽. Each tiny step reinforced the bigger decision—to actually work out. And that's why I ultimately went, even when I could've taken a breather. This same principle applies in direct response copywriting too. It’s called the Micro-Commitments Process, and here’s how it works: →Start with something easy for your audience to agree to—a lead magnet would be a great example. Think of a 5-day email course. →Follow with small pieces of value in every email to keep them engaged so they are even more involved. The goal is to let them have their skin in the game. →Gradually build momentum, leading them toward the ultimate decision to purchase via your sales landing page. →By the time your call to action appears, they’ve already said “yes” in their mind multiple times. Congratulations, now you know the psychology behind a marketing funnel. Remember... It’s not about forcing decisions. It’s about leading them step by step. Hope this helps! A familiar 3-step framework for marketing your business. 💞 Marketing is just relationship-building at its core. It follows the same process as making friends or finding your soulmate. 1. Curiosity 2. Enlightenment 3. Commitment It starts with CURIOSITY. - You see a cute guy/gal across the room. - You hear someone talking and think, “Wow, they're cool!” - You see a product ad and think, “I wonder if that would help my sore back?” Then, it moves to ENLIGHTENMENT. - You ask that cutie on a date to get to know them better. - You ask that cool person if they want to grab a coffee sometime. - You click the link to learn more about that back roller on Instagram.
