**We Support and Admire 🤩** Edyta Starosławska, in her emotionally charged articles, pays tribute to her late father, Robert Starosławski, a talented poet who passed away in 2017. Edyta describes his poems as profound and sensitive, capturing the essence of the human experience. Together with her mother, she strives to bring her father's poetry to a wider audience, while also creating a platform that supports other artists and poets. Robert Starosławski's legacy is a great source of inspiration for Edyta, motivating her to pursue her own creative endeavors with passion and perseverance. It's also worth noting that Robert Starosławski's poetry collection is supported by WYSPA TV, which acts as the media patron of this project. Thanks to this support, the initiative has the potential to reach an even broader audience and contribute to the promotion of poetry and literary work in a wider context. \----------------- We encourage you to visit the website dedicated to the poet, where you can explore Robert Starosławski’s work and learn more about this initiative. Your support is incredibly important to Edyta Starosławska in nurturing the enduring power of words and creating a community where creativity and expression are valued. Editor: Maria Anna Furman

I've already listened to this conversation between Carina Lyall and poet Tom Hirons twice. It's like I couldn't gulp it down fast enough. Thank you, both. I feel like I'm going to be coming back to it again and again in moments of needing to 'remember'. For everyone else: gift yourselves taking in this episode *and* subscribing to Carina's podcast Becoming Nature. Every conversation is beautiful. And go check out Tom's poetry. Links in comments. The snippets I found myself noting down: - Poetry as: expression of the soul; folk medicine; an irrepressible life-force; an inherent part of change. - The historic fear of bards, poets and storytellers as carriers of peoples' cultures, histories, and power, meaning they'd be deliberately targeted by oppressors (and 'history', of course, is alive today too). - The bad reputation that poetry has gained particularly in Britain, and the need to reclaim it as of and for the people. Definite memories of having to surgically cut apart poetry in school for me, making it feel like poetry was something you had to intellectually understand, rather than _feel_. - All writing and sound as being poetry (sound as poetry _sang_ to me). - The aspect of hope that is different to hope as optimism, and is something more essential to the health of our spirit: being in love with the world.

Mario: "I felt like a boat tossing around on those words." Neruda: "Like a boat tossing around on my words? Do you know what you've just done, Mario? - you've invented a metaphor." Mario: "No!!!" Neruda: "Yes, you really have..." This is the dialogue between Mario, played by Massimo Troisi, and Pablo Neruda (Philippe Noiret) in the film "Il Postino." The film is a dedication to poetry and poetry in itself, thanks in no small part to Troisi's unmistakable sensitivity. Like in poetry, also in coaching metaphors have a role to play. They allow us to express personal concepts in a concise, but rich and meaningful way. They allow us to express what we feel but cannot say in so many words. And last but not least, they help us observe events with more detachment, creativity and imagination. Our everyday language is full of metaphors: when you start to pay attention they are everywhere! If you've never seen the movie, I highly recommend it. I've seen it at least three times and it never fails to speak to my ❤️ . #metaphores #personalgrowth #personaldevelopment

you next amazing post start here? Edgar Allan Poe’s stature as a major figure in world literature is primarily based on his ingenious and profound short stories, poems, and critical theories, which established a highly influential rationale for the short form in both poetry and fiction. Regarded in literary histories and handbooks as the architect of the modern short story, Poe was also the principal forerunner of the “art for art’s sake” movement in 19th-century European literature. Whereas earlier critics predominantly concerned themselves with moral or ideological generalities, Poe focused his criticism on the specifics of style and construction that contributed to a work’s effectiveness or failure. In his own work, he demonstrated a brilliant command of language and technique as well as an inspired and original imagination. Poe’s poetry and short stories greatly influenced the French SymbolistsComment [word] to get [reward].🔔 Follow me [name] for more [type of content].Tag [number] friends who need to see this [topic]!Give this a 💡 if you learned something new!Comment your biggest takeaway from this [content type].Give me [number] minutes, and I’ll give you [X benefits]:Here is a method that is helping [who] to [achieve benefit]:You don't have to be [something challenging] to [desired result]:
