📢 WCCI 2024: Mentor-Mentee Networking (MMN) Program! The MMN program matches eligible presenters (mentees) with senior academics (mentors) from the field in order to provide mentees both with constructive feedback on their WCCI 2024 publication and paper presentation, as well as a community point of contact during the conference. Please be advised of the following: - The mentor is encouraged to attend the presentation of the paper (where possible) and to engage with the presenter, for example through contributing constructive questions in the Q&A part. - Following the paper’s presentation, mentor and mentee are encouraged to meet up (e.g., in a coffee break) for feedback and potential follow-up discussion (where desired). All mentoring program participants will be invited to an exclusive networking event to support interaction and networking across the mentee and mentor cohorts. End Speeches Always On a High Too many times, I have listened to people deliver speeches without firepower. As Gina London puts it, the best way to wrap up a speech is to outline the important points in your presentation, and end with a CTA (call to action). You can finish with saying things like; "I believe that the energy industry has the potential to 10x before mid 2026 when we begin to....." " Three things you must start doing today..." "Id there's nothing you remember from this speech, remember this acronym: ATE. It means....." Great Facilitation Skills Training by Stickydot! 👇 Did it in 2023 and can highly recommend it. Great combination of theory and practice. And actually a lot of time for practice and interaction between participants and with the training organisers - I actually think the most relevant and lasting learning comes from this brains-on work. I also think the training has a good balance between beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There is always something new to learn!
