X-Team reposted this
Recently, I joined the “Keep Moving Forward” podcast from X-Team to talk about my secret sauce for Leading with Purpose when building high performing engineering teams for new product innovation, building back from reliability challenges and taking on technology transformation. Caleb Brown and I had a great time discussing: Importance of #Culture: Defining a clear set of values is essential to drive a results driven engineering culture of ownership and accountability. I lead with customer focus, Engineering Excellence and Transparency as durable core values, paired with behavioural traits essential for the current state. Role of #AI in redefining the future of engineering: It is essential to embrace each wave of disruptive technology with a cautiously optimistic approach. Going all IN or sitting completely OUT both have challenges. A mindful approach to investing in learning to work with AI tools will prepare software engineers to reduce today’s toil while focusing on newer challenges. #Inclusion as catalysts of Innovation: Diversity is a natural part of life - Inclusion needs intentional effort! I believe strongly that engineering is a team sport and everyone has something to offer from the role they play. Making the effort to bring diverse points of view together improves quality of decisions and ultimately the outcomes for customers. I invite you all to listen to this episode and share what resonated with you. A huge thank you to Caleb and X-team for the engaging discussion! (Spotify link is in comments..)
Useful tips and specially love the core leadership values you shared. Thx.
Very helpful
Nice job, Very informative !!
These should be life goals for everything! "A mindful approach to investing in learning to work with AI (pick tool of choice : my addition!) tools will prepare software engineers to reduce today’s toil while focusing on newer challenges.
Love your approach towards embracing AI into engineering!
Being cautiously optimistic about AI adoption is key. For developers it's important to ensure that the tooling is closely aligned to their own use cases. We've seen the right AI coding assistant will drive positive (measurable) ROI in these key use cases: -Unit test generation -Code migrations, refactoring, modernization efforts -Code documentation
Congratulations Rajashree Proud of u always Best wishes
