The truth... the whole truth... and nothing but the truth! ✋ One of the things I love most about working at #SDG is the open channels we have for communicating and sharing ideas, doubts, and knowledge among ourselves. On top of that, we regularly have one-hour tech talks. These are divided into two categories: - Artifact Days: where teams present interesting artifacts or projects they've been involved in. - Flash Talks: where we dive deep into a topic, break it down, and make it accessible and understandable for the rest of #SDGers. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of giving a Flash Talk on two of my favorite aspects of my job: understanding the entrails of technology and improving performance. In one of my past roles, I made the decision to focus on too many projects at once. 📉 The revenue didn’t get maximized. I realized my team was spread too thin across too many projects. That’s where I decided to cut back. We picked the top three projects with the most potential for impact to focus on. 📈 That resulted in a 20% boost in efficiency and higher engagement. Setbacks push progress when you know how to leverage them. Setbacks aren’t roadblocks. → They’re DATA. Every challenge is feedback. A signal to rethink, adjust, and move forward.
