Legacy systems, often integral to critical infrastructure, present a significant vulnerability in cybersecurity. These outdated systems were not designed with modern cyber threats in mind AND obviously they lack up-to-date patches/protections, making them susceptible to attacks that could cripple essential services and expose sensitive data. Addressing these vulnerabilities successfully requires a strategic overhaul to ensure defense mechanisms are in place to protect vital (government and corporate) assets.
