Excited to share that Alex Urist, Vice President of XCharge North America, was featured in the February issue of Electrical Apparatus Magazine! 🌟 In the article "Unique Charging Options with EV Technology" (pg. 16-18), Alex dives deep into the transformative potential of V2B (Vehicle-to-Battery) and B2G (Battery-to-Grid) technologies. Here's a glimpse of the insights shared: 💡 "While traditional V2G systems face battery wear and user adoption challenges, integrating an intermediate stationary battery for load smoothing (V2B) decouples EV energy contributions from immediate grid needs. This layered approach creates a more stable and scalable framework, unlocking significant potential for energy management and grid resilience." 💡 On the challenges: "Frequent charge-discharge cycles may accelerate EV battery degradation, and bidirectional charging requires specialized hardware and software, increasing the up-front investment." 💡 On the opportunity: "V2B/B2G technology aligns with the broader push toward decentralized energy systems and renewable integration, paving the way for significant growth as EV adoption accelerates and grid pressures increase." Kudos to Alex for showcasing our commitment to innovation in EV and energy storage technologies. A big thanks to Electrical Apparatus Magazine and Maura Keller for spotlighting these critical advancements! 🙌 📖 Check out the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gZTezsHp Let’s keep driving the conversation forward about the future of energy! 🌍 #EVCharging #EnergyStorage #Innovation #V2B #B2G #XCharge

Reactive Power is impacting your energy bill. Why continuous measurement and monitoring is necessary to determine the correct compensation system and to monitor it. Reactive energy is produced and consumed by electrical devices that have inductive or capacitive components. It is called reactive energy because it does not perform useful work directly, but it is necessary for the operation of many electrical devices, such as motors, transformers, and fluorescent lights. Reactive energy is important to consider when designing and operating electrical systems because it can have a significant impact on the efficiency and quality of the power supply. #reactiveenergy #energyautomation #energymonitoring

Notes on Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution The #limitations of a #radial electrical power #distribution system can be mitigated by implementing a #ring main #electrical #power distribution system. In this setup, a single-ring #network of distributors is powered by multiple #feeders. Thus, if a feeder encounters a #fault or #requires #maintenance, the ring #distributor remains powered by the other connected feeders. Consequently, consumer supply remains uninterrupted even if a feeder goes out of #service...

Surge voltages (impulse voltages) can occur during solar panel measurements, even when they’re not connected to the grid. Examples include when breaker switches are turned on/off or when making cable connections with live voltage. While many measuring instruments have built-in protection circuits, repeated surge voltages can damage these circuits and, ultimately, the instrument itself.
