ISRO's PSLV-C60 Launch : The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has achieved another milestone with the successful launch of the PSLV-C60 rocket, carrying the pioneering Space Docking Experiment (SpaDeX). The rocket lifted off at 10:00:15 PM IST from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. The mission deployed two spacecraft—SDX01 (Chaser) and SDX02 (Target)—which will execute a series of complex maneuvers over the coming days, culminating in their docking. This success positions India alongside global space leaders like the US, Russia, and China in mastering autonomous docking technology, crucial for future human spaceflights, lunar missions, and the construction of India’s proposed space station, Bharatiya Antariksh Station.

The Union Cabinet recently approved four key space initiatives to be undertaken by the ISRO - Indian Space Research Organization, which mark major advancements for India's space program: 1. Chandrayaan-4: The fourth installment of India’s lunar mission, building upon previous lunar exploration missions.    2. Venus Orbiter Mission (VOM): This mission is aimed at studying Venus, one of the least explored planets, and could provide insights into atmospheric and surface conditions. 3. Bharatiya Anatriksh Station (BAS): This indigenous space station will be the first of its kind for India. The scope of the Gaganyaan program, India’s manned space mission, will be extended to support the development of this station. 4. Next Generation Launch Vehicle (NGLV): A new launch vehicle being developed to replace older models, enabling more efficient and heavier payloads to be carried into space, marking a new phase in India’s launch capabilities.
