🚀 A Step Forward in My Learning Journey🚀 I’m excited to share a significant milestone in my professional development—participating in a comprehensive VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) webinar organized by Kalki Tech. This experience was not just a learning opportunity but a deep dive into one of the most transformative areas in the field of electronics and semiconductor technology. Over the course of the session, we explored the intricacies of VLSI, which is at the heart of modern electronic systems, powering everything from mobile devices to complex computational systems. The insights provided during the webinar shed light on the future of semiconductor innovation, and the emerging opportunities in this fast-paced industry. Semiconductors are as essential as water, sunlight and air to supporting modern life as we know it. 🔍 Exploring the Nexus Between Academia and Industry I am thrilled to have participated in the "Bridging Academia and Industry: 2-Day Workshop on Mastering VLSI and Semiconductor Techniques," organized by the IEEE CUET WIE Affinity Group Student Branch. The first day featured an insightful session by Arif Istiaque Sir from the ETE Department,CUET where we delved into the critical connections between academic research and the evolving demands of the semiconductor industry. On the second day, two engineers from Siliconova brought practical perspectives into the discussion, highlighting the nuances of VLSI and semiconductor design in real-world applications. A highlight of the session was learning from Md Wahid Sadiq, an alumnus of the ETE Department, whose experience in the field was both relatable and inspiring. This workshop not only enhanced my technical understanding of semiconductor technologies but also emphasized the significance of collaborative efforts in driving innovation. The exchange of ideas and exposure to industry practices have undoubtedly enriched my perspective. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the organizers and speakers for curating such an impactful learning experience. Late Post: 18 Hours of VLSI Training Course on High-Frequency Measurement Technology I recently completed an intensive 18-hour VLSI training course on High-Frequency Measurement Technology held from August 20-22, 2024. This hands-on course provided me with a deeper understanding of crucial measurement techniques, including S-parameters and high-frequency device characterization, which are integral to advancing my research on GaN-based High Electron Mobility Transistors (HEMT). Throughout the sessions, we explored various topics such as: S-Parameter Measurement: Learning the theory and practical application of S-parameters to evaluate device performance at high frequencies. Calibration Techniques: Understanding how to precisely calibrate high-frequency measurement instruments to ensure accurate results. These insights are highly relevant to my ongoing research, which aims to enhance the performance of GaN HEMTs for future 5G and 6G technologies. By applying the knowledge gained from this course, I’m more confident in refining device fabrication and characterization processes, which will ultimately help push the boundaries of high-frequency applications. Special thanks to the instructors and organizers for delivering such an informative and enriching experience.
